    CLI makes sense in a server context, not a desktop context.

    MS is adding PowerShell to appeal to people who like or need to script. Win7 comes with a PowerShell IDE so one doesn't need the CLI to use PowerShell. PowerShell is really geared towards scripting and being a CLI.

    Even though my Viewsonic G-Tablet will run it, there is no official version or support and the only version I have found is missing enough functionality that I see no reason to install it.

    I would run it on my phone, but again, there is no official version for it.

    The reason people don't run the latest or even current versions of Andriod is because it requires technical expertise, willingness to brick phone/tablet, and possibly putting up with a loss of functionalit; OR spending $600 for a new device.

    ^This^. In fact, no one should be surprised to find that many companies, from Facebook to Oracle to VMWare, have moles from various governments around the world. And, it wouldn't be limited to IT companies, either. Ford, GM, Toyota, Caterpillar, Boeing, and any large and/or innovative organization that uses foreign and/or contract workers would be prime target for industrial espionage. And, not just from enemies, but from nominal friends as well.

    According to the FBI, most bank robberies are not planned and most of the planned robberies are poorly planned. Most bank robbers get away with little and are caught quickly. Basically, there are two kinds of bank robbers, smart bank robbers who get away with a lot of money and rob many banks and the stupid bank robbers who need money and decide to rob a bank because that is where the money is.

    Really? I have been able to make multiple recovery disks with the last two laptops I bought.

    If Northrup failed to make backup/restore disks for the installed operating system and returned the laptop with Linux on it, the unit cannot be fixed and resold as received because it no longer has the installed operating system and will cost Newegg money to replace. Also, the operating system can be considered an accessory to the hardware.

    Really, this is her own fault for not making restore disks before installing Linux on the machine.

    You asked why. I told you why. During the primaries and on election day, black Americans were on TV stating they were voting for Obama specifically because he was black. You are giving out numbers. Those numbers don't give any hint as to why people think black Americans voted in a racist manner. I told you what many black Americans have said. If you don't like it, that is not my fault. You can bury your head in the sand and not ask that kind of question if you aren't going to like the answer.

    If it is below his standards, yet he doesn't know enough chemistry to teach to his standards, perhaps the grandfather isn't qualified to determine the level of chemistry being taught in public schools.

    How does one know the quality of instruction if one does not know the subject well enough to teach it?

    The reading level of students has been directly linked to whether the parents read and read to and with their children. Educational success has been directly linked to both of those as well as whether education is valued in the home. If his son is reading below level, either the son has a reading disability, is not being properly instructed, or the family doesn't value reading as much as one would think.
