Number 2 fuel oil (diesel fuel) is taxed differently in the US depending on whether it is for home heating, farm equipment fuel, or vehicle fuel. In many cases diesel sold for home use is dyed, and trucks' fuel tanks are inspected for dye. If dye is found, a traffic citation is issued, plus a fine.

If the IDE drive electronics fail, you take the board off another identical drive and swap it. I've had to do this about five times so far.
Now if the media fails, THEN you need massive and expensive intervention.

  11. Re:Wait... who's putting up the money? on WorldCom Wins $25M Bonus Judgement · · Score: 1

Worldcom isnt completely out of money, they just owe more than they have. The bonuses are for the employees who actually do the real work for the company - run the routers, collect customer money, pay the bills and paychecks, that sort of thing. The crooks at the top (who fucked up/stole the billions of investor money) have been booted out already.
Worldcom as a company which is still running is worth more than if they sold the equipment, the buildings and the customer lists.
