1.) Autocad 2.) MapInfo (yeah I know I can use GRASS, don't start in on that) 3.) ESRI's ArcGIS 4.) WinAMP (XMMS is not the same. I want the visualizations & everything else, don't get me wrong though, I'd love to see Amarok ported to Windows too)
This would save my company tons of money in Windows licenses.
Almost everything else that I would find useful (sans games) has already been ported or there is a better native Linux version.
It was however very, very funny to read all the "WHOO-HOO TAKE TAHT LIBERALS!!1!" posts by moron American Neo-Cons on the Yahoo message boards this morning.
A lot of Windows games (Knights of the Old Republic II & Civilization IV immediately come to mind) these days won't play at all if you have Alcohol 120% (or similar programs) installed, is that not copy protection? ArcGIS & Microstation are both tied to your computers Hostname & ArcGIS dials home to check for license compliance, is that not copy-protection? Even serial numbers are a form (albeit weak) of copy protection.
It would take me all to list just the software, that I know about, & that's sold today, with some form of copy-protection, be it a serial code all the way to hardware dongles.

If they sell Ammonia Nitrate based fertilizer at Winn Dixie you should start buying it by the truckload, with cash of course. It will be a hoot when the feds knock on her door looking for explosives!

Yeah, they are still open in North Florida (where they started). I think they are closed just about everywhere else. I'm pretty sure they are just going thru the reorganization type bankruptcy.

I just give them my friend's phone number (if you don't have your card a Winn Dixie clerk will just ask for your phone number)
Civilization IV is great too. Ok, it's great after you patch it. It will barely run before you patch it. And crash, wow, does it crash a lot before you patch it.

BWAHAHAHAH!
Not quite, moron.
Do you have any sources for this or are you just making shit up cause you realize that you've been guilty of this behavior before?

Going to Biodiesel would be relatively cheap & can use existing infrastructure (a gas pump is a gas pump).

How many "bugs" are in Athlons?/Duron/Semprons?

... here I was thinking a police organization was against a certain length of sentence...

I play a certain NWN PW server because of full PVP & item / XP loss on death. Of course the custom Dark Sun setting is a plus too.

"lint, shiny dinglehoppers, and pet rocks"
Wow. That's fairly well into lame territory.
Jaysyn
I'm guessing you can't kick them out of a "faction" or pickpocket them either can you? ...yet another reason I'll stick to the (relatively) free NWN.

"One of the reasons I formulated my anarcho-capitalist belief system...."
You do realize Heinlein has you beat by 50 years or more, right?
Jaysyn
I don't play WoW, but can't you just fucking kill them when they do this stuff? For the most part it keeps people honest on the NWN servers I play on.
Jaysyn
No Comprehend Languages spells on Azeroth, eh?

They are? Are you sure you don't mean AT&T?
Jaysyn
How about you leave my car alone?
