The problem is the MS doesn't *really* have $30 billion in cash reserves.
They have an army.
Yes folks you heard it here first, they have a huge underground complex beneath 1 Microsoft Way and millions of robort soldiers are preparing to march on Washington if the terms of surrender do not go as planned.
Nope, they have to jump through some more hoops and "have their liberty restored". Basically pay lots of money and/or fill out lots of paperwork. That's only in Florida mind you, I know in either Maryland or Delaware the convicts rights are restored immediatley upon release.
The county that I grew up in only has a single high school (they are in the process of building another), so they don't have to split funding. Suprisingly, one of the most high-tech (& best, education wise) public high schools in Florida is in one of the most backwood counties in the state.
The closest we got to this was teacher sanctioned playing of SimCity in my business classes. (Yes we we're graded on this, and yes kids tried to cheat) And of couse the (non-teacher sanctioned) ROTT fragfests at lunch.
They're new age Jim Crowe laws, a good bit of Florida's minority populations can't vote. I want to say that almost 48% of Florida's black population is disenfranchised, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Last time I checked, movie theaters charged you for each one of your "urchins" as well. Not to mention the each ticket usually costs twice the price of a DVD rental. BTW.. In case you didn't notice VCR/DVD rentals didn't exactly kill Hollywood now did they?
I can't believe you have never stopped to think: Well if this stuff, or at least some of this stuff was legal & taxed, considering it's much less dangerous than alcohol, then we'd have a little less crime & death in our society. Countries with lax drug laws have fewer drug problems.

Jaysyn
That's the beauty of it, Mac doesn't have to put Windows on OEM hardware, they already have an OS.
Not really a fix, but I love the irony.
Jaysyn
Well, you'll be switching from Adelphia soon. Trust me.

Oh, now it's our fault that Norwegian parents give their kids names that happen be used in all English speaking countries? How did we pull that off?

The PVC & Melon I can understand, but I never understood why he needed the broomstick.

Your parent poster just wouldn't believe how much some of the directional boring rigs cost *per foot* to use.
Jaysyn
Console game designers have to pay a licensing fee to make games for a particular platform, they then pass that cost on to you.
Jaysyn
Yeah, he basically said that stealing software is worse than stealing babies or senior citizens social security checks.

And here I was with my big ego thinking it was "What Would Jaysyn Do" all this time...
Jaysyn
It's about the same keyboard as on my Psion, I don't have any problems typing into it one handed.
Jaysyn
But that didn't work out quite like they planned either did it?
Jaysyn
Of course not, he's just pulling it out of his ass.

So that's why Nintendo nixed the HalfLife2Metroid TC.
