  1. KDE and Dual Monitor Support on KDE 2.1 Beta 2 and Nautilus PR 3 - are out · · Score: 1

Will KDE ever create support for dual monitor support in its window manager?
I would really love to have both my monitors up and running in Xfree4... It would be soooooo nice.....

(I know I hate waiting for downloads)
You can buy the ISO images on CD-R from Linux System Labs this upcoming Monday.

  3. How to enforce this? on SuSE, Czech Localization, And An Odd Licensing Twist · · Score: 1

How in the heck will this be enforced? I don't understand it; I know plenty of people who use pirated versions of M$ software, and yet that software costs money. What is stopping somebody from getting this "Free" software and installing it on their own distro of linux?

Now if M$ would just incorporate a IPv6 stack into their Windows Me/98/95.... everything would be heading toward the new standard

Yeah, but most end users don't really know much about stuff like this. If AT&T has the lowest prices anyways (since it does have a monopoly) and it can control its prices to a point of being cheap enough, it will be more suitable for any end user to go through them because it doesn't affect them directly. AT&T will not lose many customers because many people don't have enough knowledge to be hopping from ISP to ISP. Many people are content with the serivce they start off with and don't have the want to change because their service is excellent. I don't know if AT&T has good service, but I would assume this has no effect to the user base (except for the people who read this on CNN and /.)

  6. Govermental Regulations? on Aussies Put Old Pay-TV Dishes To Use -- As A LAN · · Score: 1

Is there any Govermental Regulator like the FCC that would consider this type of communication against the law? Or is this the type of situation where the power of the dishes isn't large enough to have regulations? (although I would think it would be plenty of power) Just think of the possibilites with that type of system in any big US city... You possibly could take your laptop in your car (for cheap) just as long as you were in the signal's range.

  7. Where can I find Helix? on Helix Code's Red Carpet Simplifies Package Updates · · Score: 1

I have been looking around for Helix, but I haven't had much luck finding it. I called some of the Linux CD distribution sites and LSL.COM said that they would have Helix out by next week. Has anybody found anywhere else?
