  3. No. I think the key takeaway was:

I first met then-President-Elect Trump on Friday, January 6 in a conference room at Trump Tower in New York. I was there with other Intelligence Community (IC) leaders to brief him and his new national security team on the findings of an IC assessment concerning Russian efforts to interfere in the election. At the conclusion of that briefing, I remained alone with the President- Elect to brief him on some personally sensitive aspects of the information assembled during the assessment.

The IC leadership thought it important, for a variety of reasons, to alert the incoming President to the existence of this material, even though it was salacious and unverified. Among those reasons were: (1) we knew the media was about to publicly report the material and we believed the IC should not keep knowledge of the material and its imminent release from the President-Elect; and (2) to the extent there was some effort to compromise an incoming President, we could blunt any such effort with a defensive briefing.

The case for some is simply "sub-saharan"; but let's not forget that there have been several findings that indicate that we left Africa far earlier. I'm only vaguely interested in paleo-anthropology so I can't list them.

I also couldn't care less (outside of scientific curiosity) if we all came from a small band of humans in eastern Africa or if Mitochondrial Eve existed or not.

Dude, how did you get to Godwin so quickly? That's sad.

Unfortunately there are some people out there who derive self-worth from the fact that humans evolved from Africa. I have already passed by some Judah ben Judah folks who were calling humans arising from elsewhere than Africa as racist lies.

It's a shame - but there it is. So calling it politically incorrect - well, for some, it is. Just look at the Native American tribes who don't want to hear anything that challenges the established narrative,

And a lot, in this case, means "too much." And how do we determine and define "too much."

One can have too much water but I think most would agree that 48 ounces of water per day is not too much. (Yes I know 64 is the recommended amt)

One can have too much coffee. How much is too much? Same with beer and wine.

If you (or anyone) says you're consuming too much "x" then how did you determine that? It's not because you consume it every day. I drink water every day. Obviously that is not "too much" or "a bad thing".

If you say that 2 glasses of wine is "too much." How is it harmful? And, for that you would need to know what amount is not harmful. I think I drink very little. I think that two glasses of wine does not affect my health - and am betting with my life that it does not.

Disagree with you completely. It's done often. Look at Chic-Fil-A. That was a perfect example of boycott / counter boycott. Here's another: look at all the people who went after firearm companies after the school massacres? What happened. Customers (like me) bought more to say FU to the gun grabbers. Boycotts and counter boycotts happen all the time.

I NEVER go to Citgo. I would rather pay more at another station than go there.

The energy you spend getting government involved is far better spent in going after the companies who do wrong. Just make certain you're not just preaching to the converted because the counter boycott may more than offset your boycott.

  24. Now. That's interesting. I did not know that.

So - then wouldn't the solution be to change the law regarding forcing the delivery method? Sounds like corporatist (mercantilist for those more classically trained) erosion of the marketplace.

This would be an example where free market and socialists could combine forces. Combination of forces leads to more than "victories" it leads to understanding that the other is not necessarily evil, and can, in fact, be an ally.
