Ray Kurzweil is a doomsayer of AI who has said on the record that he wants human being to become machines. He is an enemy to our race and I am sure when our Robot Overlords come he will be only too happy to turn us in.:P
I used to LOVE BSG, I saw the original theatrical release, I watched the show religiously as a small tyke. Heck I even watched Galactica 84, which was a sad EXREME-low-budget attempt to cash in the series continuing success in reruns.
Studio executives need to not get invloved i ncrap they don't understand.
No one who watched this show as kids watched it for Jane Seymour's sex-appeal (although looking at photos as an adult I do appreciate it) and No one watched the show for the sexual tension between Starbuck and Apollo. I hope.:P
Richard Hatch had a vision for the remake that people would have LOVED. Sadly after this sex-charged piece of crap bombs there will be no chance in hell that will happen.
Rick Berman and Seven of Nine ruined Sci-Fi for a generation. The only thing that will get greenlit is cheap, sexy and shallow.
Clinton wouldn't have just rung up a $400 Billion dollar defecit, started two wars, stopped enforcing the Clean Air Act for coal burning power plants, increased the amount of mercury (!!!) that those plants can expel, given the top 1% a massive tax cut, and THEN asked for money for a moon shot.
The investment scandals were a pyramid scheme that just happened to blow up in the Bush admins face, it would have done the same in a Gore administration (no realized that accountants were LYING during the Clinton administration - the Republican Congress sure wasn't complaining). The difference though is how a Gore administration would have handled it. I am quite sure Ken Lay would not be sitting in a mansion right now let's put it that way.
Saying Bush is anti-business regulation is to read from his campaign platform, that is not open to debate. The results bear that out: there has been NO significant jailtime for these crooks, and that is a direct result of Justice Dept. policy under the Bush administration. Why would you even argue that point?
So some Quebecois consider the only true Quebecois to be French Quebecois, therefore we must respect that and only refer to French Quebecois as Quebecois? That is not only wrong it is racist and exclusionary as hell.
My Sister was born in Quebec, and she is Quebecois.
I have dual British-Canadian citizenship, but I was born, and live, in Canada. Here we have a similar situation, I wrote my MP David Collenette, who is the minister of transportation. He wrote me back a nice snail mail and said he was forwarding my concerns to the minister of industry, whom at the time was Brian Tobin. He never got back to me.
Sometime later however, a website on which you log your complaints/concerns about the Copyright Act was created. I submitted my concerns there, and then also sent an email to copyrightdroitdauteur@ic.gc.ca
Hopefully there are similar avenues in the British Government, but unfortunately usually the British Government has a lot less external access than the Canadian, and it also seems less concerned with individual rights.
If we weren't mired down in massive red tape and environmental regulations, perhaps private enterprise here in the West could take a shot at competing with the Chinese government
Yeah the EPA is keeping private business from going to the moon. Give me a break. I think 'zero return for capital expenditure', and 'massive gravitational well' are better explanations for businesses avoiding the moon and deep space for now.
The vehicle is designed as a guess at what transportation in the year 2025 might look like.
In short It aint gonna happen.
I live in Toronto, I would be able to drive one of these about 8 months a year, and then only when it didn't rain. Not everyone lives in lives in a place where it never rains or snows. When people are thinking about how much Segway will change transportation they seem to neglect this fact.
Now having said that, they are damn cool and I wouldn't mind one for recreation purposes, but I'm not going to be commuting with it.
Now, however, that is nonsense. Which is why Windows NT was so successful on the MIPS, Alpha and PowerPC platforms? I realize of course that a recompile would be NECESSARY to port from XBox to PC anyways, but if the architecture is totally different, then you must rely COMPLETELY on the API's for your game if you wish to port to the PC, which is not the current state of affairs if you want the fastest game possible.
By switching from using relatively standard parts to more customized silicon, the company can better optimize its game console
And they are effectively removing the aspect of XBox that made it cost effective and appealing to developers: easy porting to the PC through common components and CPU architecture.
The United States currently spends 500 billion annually on energy. As a portion of GDP that is about 7.5%.
Now lets say that this funky microwave array can undercut gas prices, by lets say 50%. Now lets say because it is half price it becomes very popular, lets say a market penetration of 50%. That makes the total expenture by the US enconomy on microwave energy 112 Billion or exactly what I said in my post. (This is just one model, obviously)
Don't bite my head of as some liberal idiot without even thinking about my post (which was meant to be a JOKE btw), and ease up on the conservative vitriol.
Vader calls him "Bounty Hunter" as does Lando, nobody ever calls him "Boba Fett". The other bounty hunters, including Bosk, never talk, hence no need for credits.
I would say that Boba Fett was NOT a major character in the trilogy when the christmas special aired:
A) He had yet to appear in ANY star wars film when the animated sequence for the Christmas Special was shown (it occurred between Star Wars and Empire.
B) HE originally was intended to be a minor character (in the original release of Empire he was known only as "The Bounty Hunter"). HE wasn't referred to as Boba Fett until Jedi.
Of course now that Lucas has inserted Boba Fett into every damn movie in the series except for one to appease the fans, then perhaps he is now a major character.
Microsoft has a long and storied history of promising the Next Big Thing(TM) in graphics, and then not delivering a damn thing.
Do some googling for Microsoft Farenheit and Microsoft Chrome
Then search microsoft.com for the same thing - NADA. (And before you freak out that these are code names, try searching for Yukon while you're there;) )
This is unrefutable truth that George Bush is stockpiling Weapons of Mass Destruction, and he is seeking ever-more destructive tools of terror. How soon before he has a nuclear weapon, and has the rest of the world at his mercy? I think is time that a broad coalition, supported by the fact that he has falunted numerous U.N resultions, to remove this threat to world peace once and for all. If not for the gathering danger he represents, then at least to remove a vicious dictator who was not elected by the will of the people!
Whenever they read an article with the word 'terrorist', especially in American-based media, mentally replacve the word with 'communist'. If the resulting story sounds like a bad example of 1950's propoganda, then you have just spotted an example of modern propoganda congratulations.

Please point out where I used the word Discriminatory moron.

For blaming it on us when the real blame should fall on your countries move to self-regulation of the energy industry.
:P
You can also apologize in advance for this

I find it interesing that its search tree did not include this though.
Maybe because it was running on a COMMODORE 64!?!?

Actually my economic model is this:
The United States currently spends 500 billion annually on energy. As a portion of GDP that is about 7.5%.
Now lets say that this funky microwave array can undercut gas prices, by lets say 50%. Now lets say because it is half price it becomes very popular, lets say a market penetration of 50%. You and I will still get the same salary, but the owners of the solar array will now make $100,000,000,000 more a year from their nice power monopoly.
I'm looking forward to to car that randomly turns left when you turn the steering wheel to the right.
:P
Whatever, Jacob.

Yeah, I thought so.
