Which I am considering to release as open software.
But I have the same problem with the GPL. It only tells people to release source code for changes if they distributate the binaries.
So, they can take my code make some of changes, run there web service without giving back the changes to the community.
This will give them a edge compared to me, therefore I hesitate to take the GPL step.
I was recently a conference called Linux@work in Copenhagen (Denmark).
There I talk with Thimothy E. Ney from the free software foundation about it.
He told me that he would have to talk with mr. Stallman about it.
I haven't hear from him since and I have been busy too.
Maybe a way to solve this is, that you should make the source available not if you make the binary available but if you make the functionality aveilable.
Here is a list of other interesting wireless links found at FreakTech
Plasma antennas are radiofrequency antennas that employ plasma as the guiding medium for electromagnetic radiation. DIRC is a self learning, intelligent, and self organising network of small transmitting and receiving stations. Impulse Radio a whole new wireless medium. AIRNET Adaptive Interferometric Radio Network Enhancement Technology.
The ProcessTree Network was created to bring two groups together: those who have huge computing jobs to do; and millions whose computers just sit idle much of the time. With the ProcessTree Network those BIG computing jobs can get done faster and cheaper, and people can turn there computers idle time into money.
We all know on slashdot they post the news they find interesting.
The problem with this is that people change interests.
We have been seeing a lot more business new after/. was brought by Andover.net and the Andover, RedHat and VA linux IPO.
I also run a weblog called FreakTech on http://sunsite.auc.dk/FreakTech/
Here I have some guide lines to stay focused. 1) Revolutionary Technology. 2) Always include a link to more info. 3) The link should lead to a page which explain the technology detailed enough to understand how it works.
This means you will not find most breaking news here. Becours they normally don't include the detailed explanation.
But you will find interesting and educating reading.
I have recently move the weblog to a database and add subjects filters and discussion.
And a moderating system where every registered user can moderate is planed.
Does someone got any examples how to do this ??

What about building dynamical web sites.
All you need is a linux server,
with apache, php and a SQL database (Postgresql or Mysql).
It is not that difficult and it is something they can
show there friends.
Next time someone want access to my files. They will have to cut of my fingers. This really make me feel good to know.
The problem is that I have a search engine.

Hi.
I am interesting in knowing how much
work it would be to change FreeNet to
another propose: A mirroring network for free software.
When RedHat and others release the latest distributions
there mirror site a slowed down.
if FreeNet could be changes to a generic mirror network
for free software this problems could be eliminated.
The changes it would take.
1) Only the mirror maintainer can file packets on the network.
2) The packets is removed when the traffic for them vanish (self cleaning.)
By make this changes the will help in distributing
free software instead of pirate software.

I think that the real reason ;-)
that the AI's keep the humans alive
is so Hollywood can make a movie about it
But like most religions the matrix also postulate.

now they are yours.
There is something you can do to restore learning ability.
Check out the book "The Einstein Factor" for IQ improving techniques.
If you do drink alcohol stop!
Your brain will then regenerate to
its original state after 7-8 year.
Hope this help.
PS.) Being a vegetarian also helped me
to a lighter mental state.
I have noticed some small problems with the moderation system.
They might be connected.
1) Good messages not posted fast after the news are not moderated up.
2) Points used on 5 points messages don't add to the story points
but decrees your moderation points.
This mean lesser points for messages in 1)
3) There is no way to view unmoderated messages
when you moderate.
I think that a solution to 2 and 3 will help on 1.
