Last time I checked, it was very easy to install and setup XFree86 and DRI on debian. You just install the package, then select the driver, and everything is O.K. Even when I installed from source on RedHat (because XFree86 v4 rpms weren't available) it wasn't so hard. In the past these things _were_ hard to setup with utah-glx but since XFree86 v4 things have improved alot.
I want my wm to be able to do everything that my current wm (==sawfish) can do. In fact, I don't miss any feature in any of the commonly used wm's, because all of them already manage windows. That's it. What else could they implement?
Indeed you will for example the text change it's color when you change to certain gtk themes (sometimes making the whole thing completely unusable because you cannot highlight the text).
Cool. At least one here thinks before he writes. But see it like this: In nazi-Germany the people didn't like it. Now they want it (except, of course, nazis).

What does sex have to do with NAZI propaganda? (btw: It scares me that sex scares you)
You're partially right. But I think you don't see the fact that sites could only possibly be DoSed by the government if they contained content that is against German law. This wouldn't only apply to right-winged sites.
I do completely agree with you. Reducing crime (by such low levels) isn't worth being caught on a camera everywhere I go. Maybe they should ask the people if they want to be monitored by the camera and automatically turn the cameras off if someone doesn't agree is seen. That would be the only way I see. I'm glad that this isn't allowed in germany.
I remember the time when I still used a modem... it was hard. Couldn't even play StarCraft with that. Then I switched from 56k modem to 64k isdn and -- it was great! OK in the USA isdn is 'only' 56k but that is not the problem. The problem is lag and there is simply few lag with isdn. And, if that's not enough, dowloads are approximately 50% faster. I love it.
The real bad thing is, when it happens to one ISP it must happen to every ISP. But I don't believe this stupidity will last long. There are enough higher courts in Germany and AOL has enough lawyers...
I enjoy playing Quake, Halflife and so on. And also my friends enjoy being killed by me over and over again. Everyone can distinguish between a game and reality. But the german government doesn't allow me to play those "bloody" games just because I'm only 15. In the USA you can get every (nearly) computer game you want to, so why do you complain?
I don't believe that the government has the right to tell the people what they are allowed to see or not, which is the same with sex-scenes on TV. Of course, a four year-old child shouldn't be able to see these things, but it is the duty of it's parents to decide that.
After all, don't worry! I know that one can get the games/videos he/she wants to. There is always a friend who has bought it. It is the same with Quake in germany: No one may buy it, everyone has it!

You shouldn't really be looking in the stable/ unstable/ dirs in GNOME's ftp.
Where to look then? _Everything_ on the ftp site is either in the stable or unstable dir. Ts.
"because you cannot highlight the text"
Sorry I lost my brain somewhere. I wanted to say that you can only read the text when highlighted.

Why don't most people think before they post?

...why it would be so wrong do DoS Neo-NAZI sites.
Remember our history and that NAZIstic content is against the law in Germany!
