They do have a lot of other satellites. The INSAT program and the PSLV satellites are comparable to the ones created US and Russia and even better in some aspects. You can get more info about the Indian Space Research Organization at ISRO's website.
I can quote several idioms like that, but I'd come straight to the point. There are always two aspects of an innovation, some technology and any story. And this is no exception.
People who have something to hide and want their message to get across will use encryption to send and spread their message on the web. There is nothing you or your mamma can do about it. With technologies like Freenet being developed and improved all the time how can we be sure that nothing illegal will not happen. The fact is that we can't be sure of anything, especially in times like these. No one thought that the pr0n industry will drive the internet (lets face it. its true!)
I can blab on and on about this but it just amuses me that the government is concerned about stuff that they themselves are doing. And if they are really concerned about all this, I am pretty sure that the NSA have very gifted code breakers which can break these codes given enough time.
If you make technologies like encryption free, be prepared to deal with what lies ahead.
These are my 2 cents.
Well, take it as you want to but I think that the XFL is here to stay. Atleast for a couple of years.
The first reason being that NBC does not have very much at stake here. Their saturday night lineup is pretty much non-existent. so they can afford to put XFL in their program. And lets face it, how many Americans watch hockey on saturday night.
WWF/NBC have said that as long as they get ratings anywhere between 3 and 5, they are OK. So that means that even if half of the WWF fans tune in to watch the game McMahon is a happy camper.
Speaking of technology, its refreshing to see a change in some of the stuff. With the 7-second delay, I don't think giving mikes to the players and coaches would have that big a concern. Maybe they can develop something along the lines of that EveVision(ugh!) and keep people interested.
Now personally, I like some of the rule changes. The "sprint-toss" is a unique style to win the toss. Maybe, they should put something more at stake, like starting 10 yards closer to the opposing teams endzone or something.
Of course, here in Canada, we're used to the no fair catch in the CFL. It'll be interesting to see how American players adapt to this. I think that the rating at the end of this year will decide XFL's future.
Just when you think that humans can't be more stupid, they pull out another retarted-bunny from the hat. The fact they are actually thinking about this is totally repulsive to me. I mean there are better things to do with our time like feeding the hungry and finding cure for the diseased.
Let the future gen worry about this sorta crap. We are thinking about future and we haven't even fixed our present yet. tsk tsk.
Actually I am talking about a '50s movie where a team of doctors and a ship are shrunk and put in a patient's blood stream to cure a brain tumour with a laser thingy. It was quite interesting.
you asked for me.:)
Actually, even if this is very "research" stuff there might be very useful in communication techlnology and spying. Maybe the army already uses this.
anyhoo.
Everything seems to be getting smaller. From micro PCs to super computers to nanobots to appliances etc etc etc.
I love to see any kind of progress in this field of genre. Just imagine the possibilities when doctors are able to send in small probes in our bodies (there was also a movie like that wasn't it?!?). No need to slicing and dicing for surgery.
There is so much potential for this technology. But there is much more work to be done. All in good time though!
peace out.
It sounds like just another PC emulator. Just like X-Box it might have a big drive, a processor and a big ass graphics chip. But since its coming after X-Box's release it better have something new or else it'll add another chapter in the sad sad story of Sega demise.
as Shaft would say, "You're damn right!". CS is the most successful mod than anyother mods out there. Hell, I've friends that bought HL just to play CS. Sierra doesn't get enough credit for the HL. The bestseller game on the market for last 2-3 years and your average joe-gamer haven't heard of it. Go figure!
I know, I know. these DMs are fun. Damn good fun. But you can only frag so much. Instead of all these DM arenas, why won't iD make a mod which actually have a storyline ?? Imagine a mod with Quake graphics and Counter-Strike gameplay. Now, that would be sweet.
PS: Does anyone know if iD has any plans of making Q3 open source ?!?

hmmm..I wonder how many actors they went through the entire production time.
