I think the real issue is one of innovation. With metered Internet usage, the entire Internet industry goes away. No more netflix. No more xbox live. No more steam. No more itunes. No more youtube.
Do you really think google, apple, netflix, valve, and microsoft are going to stand by and let these greedy bastards destroy their revenues?
Nope.
If the chair of the FCC backs metering the Internet, it's because he's ignorant, naive and needs to be replaced by someone who understands the Internet houses multi-billion dollar industries who will fight back. Perhaps google will roll their own Internet service. I see that as a good thing. It would put comcast and AT&T out of the Internet business for good, which is also a good thing.
I'm with you there. Can't enforce this one with a shrinkwrap license.
Legal avenues work.
Steam and Steam sales keep me from pirating games.
It's a fact.
cancer is evolution. It's how DNA tries new stuff. If it works, survival. If it doesn't work, death.

It's not that really.
It's probably because you can't actually get HBO unless you pop for a very expensive cable subscription.
If HBO GO were a standalone subscription, I'd pay for it. Even if it cost the same as the cable version.
Since it's not offered except as part of an expensive cable subscription, I can't get it.
My primary TV source is Netflix, supplemented with hulu and other sources like crackle.
THE market is speaking. Is the owner of HBO listening?
The scroll bar lets you do it in one page.
I don't bring my desktop on airplanes and that's the whole point.
has anyone tried Badaboom?
does it seem to anyone else that microsoft is trying make its OS entirely undesirable?
Bethesda just took something we love and now they're going to make us pay out the ass for it.
Think if skyrim were an mmo, how long would it take for you to play? How many months would you have to pay a subscription fee?
How many modders would continue to offer stuff up on skyrimnexus?
No thank you.
sure I can.
I'm just so tired of 2.6.12
It's really just a clunky hobby program at 2.6
2.8 I feel just made it a serious contender.
I'm questioning if the accused would have ever become violent or hurt people had the FBI not come knocking and given them the opportunity and means.
I'd love to use 2.8, but I'm not going to build it from source.
Someone needs to build the windows binaries already.
His first book, Donald Duck Adventures #9.
He didn't get it. It looks a lot like the type of kids books he likes to read, except it was all floppy and had too many words.
I believe that giving people the idea that they could have the means to accomplish their violent goals may be entrapment, but is it wrong?
who owns hulu?
who benefits?
those who offer cable subscriptions.
So, yeah. I also supplement with netflix.
This is a great boon to those looking for a reason to choose solar over wind.
We could ditch oil, coal, and nuclear entirely if we just build solar farms.
quite obviously, the inverse is also true.
right, but what exactly is being solved?
and, how is using the system able to generate value?
and to what end?
Right? Why doesn't the most successful online game distribution platform and developer of all time just open source their entire livelihood?
look for the goodies on steam workshop.
think for a second.
High processing cycles needed to "generate" a bitcoin?
Something only has value if someone wants it.
What exactly are bitcoins and why are they so mathematically complex.
If this law is contrary to the bill of rights 4th amendment, how is it legal?
The companies who run those call centers should be forced to pay back every penny. Why would the US willingly spend tax dollars to outsource jobs?
My wife and I aren't even remotely wealthy. We're actually right on the poverty line.
We just feel that life is too precious to chance it.
It's because Zimmerman's father is a former judge.
That's a fact.
