If it were named Amazon Prime, wouldn't it be faster than the regular Amazon?.

Firefox had one critical feature a year before Opera did: It was free. For years, Opera had been "that browser you had to pay for (or get advertising with)". That kind of stigma stays with you.

The arctic ice cap has ALREADY displaced the amount of water it currently contains. Melting it would have no additional effect on sea level. I, for one, welcome the removal of that troublesome ice sheet up north. For too long, the Suez and Panama Canals have stifled global competition. Just think of the fuel savings!

Good thing we don't have to worry about all of that ice covering Greenland and the Antarctic displacing ocean water ... oh. Wait a minute.

"Parrot" is the development name for the internals of Perl 6, notably the interpreter. See, e.g., this explanation. Any similarity to a certain April Fools joke is probably intentional, but isn't to be taken literally.

There is no virtual machine. Code compiles straight to a Windows .exe. And according to a MS press release dated June 26, there's an "inline c" method to allow you to program straight to the underlying platform. So give up any hope for "write once, run anywhere".
