Use the bktr driver and 6 supported camera/cards on a box with 6 pci slots and onboard ethernet/video/drive controllers.
Currently I have 2 cards in my box and streaming using a hauppauge gard only uses like 200K for system resources. You could probably find a cheaper bt848 card without the tvtuner.
That's funny, I have a joystick, quickcam, tvcard, and a non soundblaster soundcard on my freebsd box.
And a sb64, quickcam, and tv card on my BSDi box. Granted BSDi hardware support is pretty behind the times, but saying *BSD* doesn't have good hardware support is nothing but FUD.
- Just because you have to build a kernel doesn't mean it's not supported.
Actually Hooked never bought the Well, it's more like the other way around. Bruce Katz bought the Well, then some time later he bought Hooked and turned it into Whole earth networks (ruining it in the process). WEnet was then sold to an even worse owner. At least the Well now has a chance to grow, or sink.
They forgot to mention that when the company doing the backend stuff goes out of business, your disks are worthless. Guess you also can't watch them if the authentication stuff suffers from the/. effect, your local telco switches are overloaded when you pop in a disk, you're phone is out of order....
It seems obvious to me.
The probes are slowing down as they penetrate the membrane more commonly referred to as the Cell Wall.

Well it was almost 3 years ago, but bsdi did this.
Tests were done on P133's with 64M ram and BSDi
walked all over NT.

Would be nice to see a rematch.
-- Of course not. It's part of "the GNU system."
That's funny, all the source states that it's
still the property of the X consortium.

Luckily the Well was able to do something
Hooked could not.... survive katz.
Long live Hooked.
