You want a whole client server suite to do something that netscape-remote and a few minutes of scripting would do? Just to save a mouseclick..... Sounds like one of those hairbrained late 90's shared browser.bombs to me.
Most likely it was sshd, but considering that every service that is running on that machine has had a least one remote exploit released it's NOT hard to wonder. Then there's the issue of telnet, maybe it was a simple sniffer that did them in.
No you're full of crap. There's no way a spyware program could place itself between the network stack and the resolver to redirect dns querries to new.net Oh wait, never mind I read it on slashdot
This has happened before.
Aol seems to be changing the authentication
a bit, maybe standardizing. Tried upgrading?
A new versiom of gaim showed up yesterday and
I'm not having any problems connecting.

That little Vaio I've had my eye on is looking so much better now.
yeah I've got TCI digital cable and I've got to say for the most part it sucks. Often digital channels are pixilated, you don't get that many more channels, most of the extras are PPV, the tuner is slow as hell, and in unreliably decodes scrambled services like HBO.
Not to mention you can't record without going through the digital tuner (watch while recording).
The box TCI uses is lame, no automation at all which breaks recording even more.
I for one am glad the fcc is gonna bust some ballz.
whatchutalkinaboutwilliss? They only changed the default lookup to a transition screen so that people looking up domains borkered by someone else can be told where to go.

Right, when I was at linkexchange we TRIED to get them to be a sponsor, but the marketing morons decided it would be a bad idea to push the competitors product.
Needless to say I'm no longer there and I hear they are having a horid time trying to impliment everything on NT.
would think the freebsd-jobs mailing list would be
a good place to start.

Screend has roots dating back to 1989.
Check DEC resources or maybe vix.com.
For Microsoft, can you think of a better place to
put a sniffer?

It's shaped a little too much like a football,
I'm afraid I couldn't resist the urge to punt the

they just won't get any money from me.
It's that simple.
If it won't run in lynx, kfm,or netscape too bad for them.
Do you think if enough of us complained, Rob would
do something about the mystery banner-add that
keeps killing netscape?

At least the linux.bin installs/runs under
