    Holy crap. "Painstakingly" doesn't even begin to cover counting 52,000 stripes in a core sample.

    Now imagine how the CRU guys felt about getting hundreds of copy/pasted FOI requests for their painstaking work.

    I'ts a superficialy reasonable question - if we know that C14 is decaying then it must of come from somewhere.

    But his error is to assume the only place it could have come from is the decay of something else.

    In fact it's generated by cosmic rays hitting Nitrogen, a beta particle (electron) is captured by N14 giving C14.

    You have better memory than me - can't put dates on my tries.

    Everything before the current Debian usage was workstations (my servers were all Unix (Microport SVR3.0, ISC SVR3.2, SCO SVR3.2 (ugh), Novell UnixWare, SCO UnixWare).

    The move from Debian to Ubuntu was because it seemed a better workstation system, more effort on prettiness.

    The move from Ubuntu to Debian was to get a better server platform, but I also started using Debian on workstations, first stable, then testing and finaly the leap to Sid. Never regretted it, it's just so much less hassle.

    Those researchers are total wankers anyways, if your going to do a two year study, why in the world wouldn't you have populations that ate roundup-ready feed w/o roundup in it, regular feed w/ roundup as well as roundup-ready w/ roundup and regular feed W/O roundup?

    For each sex, one control group had access to plain water and standard diet from the closest isogenic non-transgenic maize control; six groups were fed with 11, 22 and 33% of GM NK603 maize either treated or not with R. The final three groups were fed with the control diet and had access to water supplemented with respectively 1.1 x10-8% of R (0.1 ppb of R or 50 ng/L of glyphosate, the contaminating level of some regular tap waters), 0.09% of R (400 mg/kg, US MRL of glyphosate in some GM feed) and 0.5% of R (2.25 g/L, half of the minimal agricultural working dilution).
