Stores price goods so that they profit no matter how you pay. The exceptions are notable because you will see a sign to the effect that, for purchases under $X amount, a CC will not be accepted.

It is better for me to use a CC instead of carrying cash. If I am mugged, that cash is gone. If all the mugger gets is a CC, I can cancel it before it's used, or contest any charges, if I am too late.

I know Christianity does all that, but I haven't heard of any others that do. I'm a practicing Jew, and the Jewish religion doesn't believe or do any of that, with one exception.

One of the tenets of personal improvement is subjugating base (animal) instincts to intellect and the will of God. But when you get down to it, the behaviors that are discouraged due to this concept are things like overeating (personal health) and things like indiscriminate sex (societal health).

You really have to stop being an idiot. It can't be good for you. Apple is a company. Companies provide products and/or services. There is not a single company that provides every single feature on every single product. Apple is not limiting your choices in any meaningful way. They are doing the opposite: they are providing a choice of products in a variety of markets. You are completely free to choose something else.

It also seems to be a Christian and/or Islamic ideal. Judaism doesn't care at all what non-Jews believe. It is a tenet that bad things will happen to those that don't believe in God, but God doesn't punish them directly; rather he allows bad things to happen. And of course there are perks for believers (even non-Jewish), but what religion doesn't have that?
