    Can you explain why a perceived or actual lack of females in IT matters? Is the economy worse off? Are women raped more often because of it? Is it the cause of Trump's rise to power? Is it causing the moral decay of Western Civilization?

    No problem of this nature is fixed by forcing people to change. The only way is to stick it out in the hostile environment until you are a majority. Then you can change the situation simply by acting differently. When you're the majority, you set the tone.

    That's assuming there's a problem to begin with, of course.

    From the summary, the FB app is using the Airplay device as a second screen. That's quite a bit different than the built-in mirroring.

    Today, you're correct that Apple doesn't have to rely on the carriers' good graces to sell usable phones. But that's because we've had 9 years of the iPhone to show carriers that they'll lose out on a lot of data charges if they don't allow iPhones on their network. When Apple was making deals in 2006-2007, they had to find a carrier that would permit them on the network to begin with. Both Apple and AT&T made out like bandits, but one of the things Apple had to give up was selling the phone on other (US) networks for a couple years.

  21. You must have an immeasurable tolerance for frustration if you find Android and/or iOS devices to be frustrating to deal with. It's a phone with apps. It's not a do-it-yourself Mars explorer.

  22. You don't have to update iOS. My wife's iPhone 6 is still on 9.3.5. Apple makes it available, but they don't force you to update. It's called having options. Why is it meh when Apple does it, but considered the best thing since sliced bread when an Android vendor does it?
