    So if they never crossed into China before declaring emergency, how in the world you can consider them to be spies?
    If that is the definition then any sort of accident involving foreign plane landing in China could be investigated in this context...
    Furthermore, Chinese could start ramming all planes near their borders and claim that since those who survived are now in China, everyone should just back off.
    Far fetched?
    If I said that they are capable of dispersing peacefully protesting students with tanks killing hundreds in process, would you also call it far fetched?

    Fuck, how is your "planetary security" gonna help if bunch of Chinese knock on your door and announce that you are part of their system now and NOTHING you ever held dear applies anymore?

    It did happen many times in the past to people who least expected that ( do you think Jews in XX century Europe even suspected what lies in store for them ?)

    Well, there are another differences here ... like the fact that we here tend not to disperse student demonstrations with tanks.
    But hey, we cannot criticize other cultures; after all it is a matter of taste.

    There is a difference here. After each of these there was a heated debate and many people proposing different scenarios of what happened: basically freedom of speech at work.
    Do you really believe things like that are happening now in China.

    I am yet to see "evil corporations" screwing people the way some governments did (and no, disallowing stealing of copyrighted material does not count here)
    What we talking about here are these millions of people who were executed and mistreated by various governments worldwide...
    Of all people, Europeans were the ones who were screwed most by various oppressive governments yet they still continue to hail surrounding all their right to powerful central body as a way to go.
    Sad.

    Funny, according to trends set by our Democratic friends in congress we can increase taxes indefinetely and it will never have any impact on economy.

    Outlawing any discussion regarding authenticity of Holocaust does not help anyone.
    There are still many question that were never fully answered, on the other hand there are many myths which were proved to be false by mainstream historians ( like the stories that Germans made laps out of human skin etc ...)
    We all know that millions of people of Jewish ethnicity died during the war- from the historical point of view it really does make a difference if they died because of planned extermination or simply because of negligence.
    Laws like that do not help to uncover the real truth.
    Above all, there is no reason to outlaw lies unless you are afraid that whatever you know to be truth will not hold up against them.
