    What kind of CPU do you have ( speedwise) ?
    My 1100 Mgz thunderbird never goes below 60 C and I have seen it go as high as 72 C.

    According to AMD absolute limit is 90 C , above 70-75 C things get shaky ...
    It looks like with your 50 C you are in a good shape.

    Yeah, I heard good things about Orb and I got myself one.

    On my 1100 Mhz Athlon , when idle, temperature nevers goes below 60 C, and on completely stressed system levels out around 72 C.
    I have two case fans and my motherboard temp is a comfortable 24 C so the problem here is not lack of air.
    It simply seems as if Orb is not able to keep up with 1.1 Gz beast ...

    My motherboard was replaced with no cost to me but I had to buy another CPU.

    Now I have Silver Orb CPU fan ( supposedly one of the best for Athlon ), set of dual fans mounted in extension bay ( just like ordinary boards) and additional case fan and you know what ?
    Motherboard runs at 24 C but damn Athlon 1100 Mgz still runs at 69 C.

    Frankly, I don't know know what else to do ...

    Heh, I know all about fans, heatsinks and grease but it did me no good when motherboard power connector for fan failed and my athlon fried.
    I wish Athlons were a bit more protected against failures like that.

    Well, for one it would require constant reverse engineering.
    Microsoft DOC format contains things that cannot be easily recreated in Unix world ( like com objects etc ...)
    It is not that easy.

    Well, sometimes making on your own means hurting somebody else.
    Consider this: If my company makes superior product that takes over large part of market somebody will get hurt, namely some other company and their employees.
    Was that unethical for our company to even introduce this product?

    As long as this is all within established rules, which we all agreed to , I see no problem with that.
