  1. Disposable macs I think you mean. on Sealed-Box Macs: Should Computers Be Disposable? · · Score: 1

Should Computers Be Disposable? No and especially not macs. If they never broke or were "future-proof" it wouldn't make much difference but despite the advertising to the contrary they simply aren't THAT good.

  2. Online Storage. on DEA Lack of Data Storage Results In Dismissed Drug Case · · Score: 1

It's a pity their sister agency took down MegaUpload. It would have been perfect for this.

  3. No actual humans do. on Who Cares If Samsung Copied Apple? · · Score: 1

Who Cares If Samsung Copied Apple? I don't think anyone really cares about this except corporations and lawyers.

  4. Grovel before us on BitTorrent Tries To Appease Users By Making Torrent Ads Optional · · Score: 2

We refuse to be appeased under any circumstances. We will stand aloof and BitTorrent must grovel.

  5. Unless they're google self-flying cars... on Could Flying Cars Actually Be On Their Way? · · Score: 1

As if there isn't enough carnage on the highways by people who can't seem to navigate 2 dimensional space. If they were being flown by computers that don't make errors then maybe but if it's by the ordinary fallible people then no.

  6. Re:Nothing on What's Keeping You On XP? · · Score: 1

I work for a company that still uses XP and has no plans to upgrade until, I suppose, the 2014 date. Our IT vendor does all the upgrading and is, apparently, in no rush to upgrade us. It's a lot less work for them presumably.

  7. Pots and kettles on Iran Shuts Down US Virtual Embassy · · Score: 1

I am outraged or something like that.

  8. Drugs in space on Osteoporosis Drug Makes Lengthy Space Trips More Tolerable · · Score: 1

This is interesting and just points to how we're not suited, naturally, to space.

  9. TV is/isn't broken? on TV Isn't Broken, So Why Fix It? · · Score: 1

Well I'm not getting one just to find out if the conjecture is true. I don't care one way or the other.

  10. Pointless interference on US Senator Proposes Bill To Eliminate Overtime For IT Workers · · Score: 1

Is this just for those in government contracted positions? Otherwise what is the US gov't interfering in this for? Who is being protected by this legislation who actually needs protection? This is bizarre.

  11. Just say no to idiocy on VeriSign Wants Ability To Suspend Domains Without Court Order · · Score: 1

Just say no to idiocy. I hope their "proposal" is rejected as the bad idea that it is. Mind you, it just encourages me and everyone else to dump this monopoly in favour of other ones that are less obnoxious. I.e. other domain registries e.g. country codes or .org or whatever.

  12. Canadian? on Ask William Shatner Whatever You'd Like · · Score: 1

Curious. Surely he doesn't have a passport from Canada still? That would just be silly. Does he vote? I hope he does but not in Canadian elections. He doesn't live in Canada and hasn't for 50 years. He has spent all of his life, essentially, in the USA. I'd say that makes him an American or perhaps a Canadian-American. I guess my question for Mr. Shatner would be, "Are you a Canadian actor? And, if so, explain the rationale for that designation."

  13. Wikipedia censoring? on Wikipedia May Censor Images · · Score: 1

Actually wikipedia won't be censoring anything. If the idea passes in the vote wikipedia will just supply code so that individuals who visit the site can censor things for themselves via settings.
