Once again Microsoft thinks they need to "get in" on another business aspect that they have no clue about: MMOGS. I am trying to not troll here, but it's NOT going to be as easy as their devs saying "hey guys x-men online lolz". Do they think people are going to jump to play a Marvel MMO so they/can't/ be the superheroes in the MU? Do they think that playing a nobody in the Marvel Universe is going to make people flock there? Who am I supposed to be there? Because there sure can't be 100 Wolverines per server. Work for the heroes in the MU? Boring, and that makes it not even a Marvel MMOG. Yea yea, I guess this is FUD from me. I can't help it when it comes to the "next big mmog" talk. Blizzard knows what it's doing, and from their marketshare their competitors do/not/.
Maybe they think having the name "Marvel" is going to kill WoW? SWG and The Matrix Online both have big names, Star Wars bigger then Marvel...and we see how well it works. Console of PC, I don't see them doing anything but wasting money. I am very skeptical about this. I would definatly LOVE another game to compete with WoW, but given the history of Microsoft and Marvel (both very greedy) they aren't going to be the ones to do it.
Seriously I will repeat: What is the draw supposed to be to a Marvel MMOG if no one can play the heroes they might like? How is it supposed to be better (or different) then CoH/CoV? And just why should I stop playing WoW over this...marketing game.
I guess I fear the MPAA using what I mentioned as yet another reason to jack up DVD prices, and add even more protection to the physical disks. I see what you are saying though.
We knew this was the case, to much drm and not worth the money. What I fear is MPAA spin saying "Oh, well we tried to sell downloadable movies, but no one wanted them. People would rather pirate instead." I think they could work, just not this way.
Not everyone thinks "realistic" graphics are nice and pretty. I was so sick of seeing that in every MMOG (eq,swg,eq2, matrix online..ect)that was coming out. They all looked the same and they mostly played the same too. WoW doesn't look like any of them, and since they blow away every other MMOG now I would say most of the playing population agrees, and is to the game's credit.

Yea, and lately anyone that bitches about his submissions gets modded down even though we can't filter it. Kinda sad that it's OK for him to constantly spam Slashdot, but it's not OK for users here to complain or question it. Get me for offtopic, it's ok.
Yea haha, and I can't believe it took them this long to start selling music. A year or so ago I thought Myspace was only for indie bands, wasn't such a social network. Or maybe I was to old to notice =o
I don't think the flame setting was to high, the post was accurate! Honestly have you met people that play/played EQ? They really didn't do it to have fun mostly, I lived with some for a while years back. It was all about gear and having some sort of superior feeling. They lived for people to inspect them and it blew my mind. They would get through whatever the new raid thing was there and moan and complain while they talked down on any EQer not obsessed.
Yea WoW isn't perfect, but if you make a game your life, expect not to have much content left to play.
DHL rocks! I can say for sure they are just as good or better then UPS/FedEx, but all actually do pretty good with my online orders. I'm not surprised DHL does so well now. I am surprised that they are really the only other delivery company that gets notice since internet shopping bloomed (or whatever).
Anakin did bring balance to the Force in ROTJ, didn't he? In the end HE killed the Palpatine when it really counted. He came through and was the balance Quigon and Obi Wan were going on about it just took him seeing his son suffer before he let it come out. So yea, I call that bringing balance:) Or maybe I'm reaching! Let me know what you think!

*shakes head* just my 2c
I agree, I had no idea people from the WoW general forums were submitting stories here!

Yea well, it still costs to much money imo. May as well get the movie mailed to me if the download has all that junk with it. Thumbs down.
Yea, I don't know why this is such a shocker. They should really not rush it.
