I read the article, but all I see are references to the Region-2 release. I'd love to have the original series on DVD, but unlike a previous poster, there's no way on 's green Earth I'm paying US$10 per episode to watch Shatner and Company strut their stuff.
I'm approaching the first anniversary of my switch from Comcast to Dish Network and couldn't be happier. In the past twelve months we've experinced exactly two weather-related outages - Comcast's track record was much worse in my area (North Dallas).
Quality of the satellite signal is on par with digital cable and noticeably cleaner than analog.
I'm getting more channels for less money. I just saw an article in the newspaper that Comcast is asking for yet another rate increase.
Even if you accept the author's premise (I don't), there's still a flaw in his relayer scheme.
The trouble is that it would be awfully complicated and expensive to get digital-signing machinery out there to everybody, and they shouldn't have to put up with the fuss and bother; most people would rather not and that includes me.
The solution is straightforward: create a new kind of business, a relayer.
If Joe User is too lazy or stupid to sign his emails, then how does the relayer verify his identity before charging him his penny?
If the relayer accepts unsigned mail, spammers are
just going to forge From: addressess to get their
sleaze sent out. And if folks are willing to sign their mail to the relayer, then why do we need a relayer in the first place?
Microsoft shouldn't feel left out - I use their name as a verb all the time. Granted, it's usually in sentences like: "I'm gonna Microsoft your datacenter back to the stone age." But still...

You forgot:
In SOVIET RUSSIA, Wireless Companies acquire YOU!
A day with SCO is like a day without sunshine...
And a day without sunshine is like...night.
