Whoa, the worst Google executive gets parachuted into Yahoo, is that some kind of strategy? A finishing move? Better cupcakes in the Yahoo cafeteria, if they even have one any more?
As electronics become smaller, the only pieces that must remain large are the input and output devices, so the clamshell makes the best use of space.
Disagree. A separate Bluetooth keyboard saves much more space. The table case can double as a stable, adaptable support as with the Xoom portfolio case. Pointer alternatives are: 1) use the touchscreen (and wave your arms a lot and get fingerprints on the screen) 2) separate bluetooth touchpad 3) bloat up the bluetooth keyboard with an integrated touchpad 4) bluetooth mouse 5) USB mouse 6) Thinkpad style eraser head control (somebody should do that). In any case, the combination is all a lot more compact, lightweight and flexible than a clamshell. From here on, clamshell devices will shrink to exactly one category: desktop replacement. And to tell the truth, a clamshell is a poor replacement for a desktop because of the compromised keyboard and screen position.
Does that mean that Microsoft didn't like MSNBC's political bias, or that NBC didn't like Microsoft's insertion of political bias on MSNBC.com?
It means that Microsoft can't make any money at it, especially compared to their windfall profits on preinstalled windows. Certainly not enough to justify the thought control ambitions of Citizen Gates.
Normally you only hire Goldman only for two things: 1) their credit rating 2) their status as middleman for an illiquid transaction. If you're hiring them for advice then Goldman regards you as a sheep ready for shearing.
Goldman Sachs is well known for selling investment vehicles that they themselves would not touch with a ten foot pole because of their inside knowledge.

Actually, size in decimal.
Sounds like the kernel could use a good refactoring.
Indeed. I would suggest separating the ones and zeros into two separate groups so we can keep track of them better.
There are few things more painful than a swollen kernel.
It's nothing an antibiosic shot wouldn't fix.
Linus always was bitchy, see that's part of the fun of being Linus. (Don't try this at home, kids.)
These days his tantrums are far more widely reported but they are certainly nothing new.
Why don't you both start making fun of Windows Phone; you'll find some common ground there.
Both Windows Phone and iOS are good for light comic relief, what's your bias?
Tim Cook will soon follow up Apple's groundbreaking Retina display[tm] innovation with Eustachian Tube[tm] speakers.
I'm already expecting this to be marked troll because I haven't said anything nice about Apple.
They tried. Ever talked to a Scientologist?
Jelly Bean is already available on multiple devices including Samsung models.
There, go ahead and try to spin that as a negative.

Just give me a great story with great acting in the old school format and I'm fine with that. No 3D, no 48 fps.
No dragons, no magic, no Gollum?
NBC now owns both MSNBCs.
NBC got a lot of free money from Microsoft. It was a good deal for them.
Hey, is this the first time a Microsoft partner ever did well on a deal?
NPR is probably the only tolerable outlet remaining in the mainstream, so very sad.
And what is the thing that sets NPR apart from the rest? (Hint: what is special about Wikipedia)
Most of the people who have tried Metro on the right sorts of equipment love it.
Right, which is why Lumias are flying off the shelves.
FInally that stupid icon is going to die away.
Don't worry, it will be replaced by a new stupid icon.
Or maybe it was just a bad idea for Microsoft to get involved in content?
Does that mean that Microsoft didn't like MSNBC's political bias, or that NBC didn't like Microsoft's insertion of political bias on MSNBC.com?

The stance taken by these particular police strikes me as fairly mature.
Yours was a parody post, you just forget the <funny/> tag.
Right? Right?
I know! How about pressing dyed soybean paste onto wood pulp, it's way better than papyrus or clay tablets. Totally beats smoke signals.

My understanding is that they don't touch any investment themselves unless it's squeaky-clean, highly rated, and grossly undervalued.
You can forget the "squeaky-clean" part (can you spell Assad? Gadaffy?) but two out of three ain't bad.
Goldman Sachs is well known for selling investment vehicles that they themselves would not touch with a ten foot pole because of their inside knowledge.
Did Goldman Sachs employees engage in some kind of fraud?
Did they ever not engage in some kind of fraud?
