I hope this makes it... I would sure love NOT 56k modem access. Because we are not getting cable or dsl anytime soon and I'd have to sell a couple of kidneys for satellite. I like living in the country... hopefully this will make it a whole lot better... but by the time this would ever make it we'd probably get dsl or something:\
"Idiot. Do you expect Apple to stop upgrading stuff altogether when YOU buy one of their products?"
No... I never said anything like that at all. I would like my iPod to be new for a little while before another update. If I had the money in the summer to buy a new one I would have and this post would have been null.
"If you had gotten one of the multi-coloured ones, you'd be here whining that then Apple came up with the slot-loading variety."
I would have been quite happy with a multicolored iMac and I understand that Apple must update them to attempt to keep up with the competition. But you must have misunderstood when I said, "when I bought my rev B. iMac and then you came out with the multi-colored ones at faster mhz." I'm not talking about 6 months later, I'm talking about 2-3 weeks. And if you remember, not only did these iMacs come with the option of colors and a faster G3, they were cheaper as well. A mere $100 drop isn't much but what if you bought a top-of-the-line PowerMac with an Apple LCD display for around $7000 and then the next day it drops to $5000 due to an update, I'm sure you'll feel a little cheated.
"Cry me a fucking river, asshat. Buy stuff when you want to, not when marketdroids tell you to."
No wonder you posted under anonymous coward, only cowards insult people and runs. The "marketdroids" at Apple tell us nothing before releasing a product I know Mac users would like to know, but that would seriously hurt sales. That's why when a product is greater than 6 months old, usually Mac users wait for an update before purchasing a product.
... but how would you feel if you just bought an iPod, then Apple releases a newer one with higher capacities or the same model now at a lower price one to three weeks later? When I got my iMac, two weeks later they released the multicolored ones with a lower price. Okay, you bought a $300 VCR in the 80's, but two weeks later it didn't drop to $75 and improve in video quality, it took 10 years or more for this dramatic change to occur... not two or three weeks.
What do you mean, "what exactly do you want them to upgrade?"
You're correct, it is a "fucking hard drive with headphones." Maybe larger capacities for the iPods? Better headphones/earbuds? Or is it impossible to upgrade those things? Ummmmm... NOPE!
I'm not going to get an iPod until you update them. I've been screwed too many times in the past (once), when I bought my Rev B iMac and then you came out with the multi-colored ones at a faster mhz... Update the iPod and I will get one, or do I have to get one now just so you can update them???
Wait for it... wait for it... wait for it... read more rumors... wait for it... ENOUGH! Update now! Please or I'll explode!
Great, they're small enough to swallow with a glass of water and one needs a three-year-old's fingers to dial the thing as it is! Are they striving for moble phone implants or moble phone spores that circulate in your blood stream?
Slashdot needs to put this in the already-been-discussed or the dumbass section. He always knows how to piss someone off, I'm sooooo thankful that TechTV canceled his show.
The problem is that you're using a 3D interface on a 2D monitor. 3D's only good for games or data analysis. Now If one had a table top with some type of holographic projector and one could manipulate everything with their hands, then it would work.
I wonder what Jef Raskin would say about this...

Pluto, if stripped of its rank as it should, shouldn't be called an asteroid, but a comet. It is made of the same composition as one but it just cannot get close enough to the center of the Sol system to have a tail. Instead of the smallest planet it could be known as the largest comet, but who knows what that Oort cloud is composed of...
This is why we should all read The Humane Interface by Jef Raskin. This is exactally what he talks about. Computers today are becoming so ass backwards that it's becoming increasingly difficult to type a simple document. ALL developers need to read this book and adhere as much as possible to these well-researched interface designs.
Uhh... he said he bought an iBook--not Mac OS X. I recently bought an iBook and he's right... Apple only provides the Mac OS X CD. The only thing I find fishy is that he either got the iBook before Apple preinstalled it on the iBooks or either he didn't know to change the the settings in the Startup Disk control panel to boot into Mac OS X and he just reinstalled it. Also, I do see how he got confused on where to get the Developer tools... I had the same problem until I remembered the way I had to get the tools for Mac OS X Public Beta: you have to be an ADC member (membership is free) before you can download the tools. Over all, it was an okay article.

Ya never know what Apple does to check up on what people think... but then again it's Apple :)

DannyiMac has no reason.
Slashdot needs to make a space elevator thread... people keep talking more and more about it and it's becoming more and more possible to build...
I was being sarcastic... Luckily (I guess), I spent most of those years using a 68k before upgrading to a Rev B. iMac...
April 1st, is now offically IPv4 Day!
Shoe's untied... IPv4!

The other stuff sounds good though...
Yeah, I dunno either.

Remember the Motorola 68k to PPC switch? Totally seemless. :)
OMG, so there is a connection to Sol getting hotter and the Earth getting hotter too, who knew?
FiRe is HOt! How 'bout it!?

Yeah, it'll probably travel through a blackhole too!
Maybe someday we will have the technology to see it again and bring it home. :)
Umm isn't this like the Core-Extraction Distributed Ad Hoc Routing Algorithm?

Well, your anti-matter self would have to avoid touching things and... ya know... exposure to the atmosphere.
Umm Microsoft Office can run on Mac OS X...
bah... the On board sound is pretty good to me...

I thought that there would be more DBZ episodes as well... that's what I heard from my DBZ friend from school....
