A good example could perhaps be A Beautiful Mind, when John Nash looks at and decodes hidden messages, or explaining his game theory in the bar... it does stand out, but it's not overdoing anything; it works well within the movie and furthers the story.
I still run Vista just fine on my old Athlon64 3000+ (the 2GHz version) - the trick is having a couple of gigs of RAM and a semi-fast graphics card (X1650 Pro runs Aero nicely).
The "Oligarks"? Russia's new-rich crowd that bought (or received) state-owned companies for virtually nothing and now reaps the profits from the free market.
The job of a journalist is to record what happens. Whether what happens or is said at the moment of recording is truth or not is irrelevant. Whether it happened and was said at all, is.
I will agree that older Mercedes cars are fantastically reliable, having had a 1983 230E with 650,000 KM on it when it was given up (I bought it at 490,000 KM). Original engine and transmission. It's not strange, they're built like tanks with old and trusted technology. Simple to fix. But they've skimped in later years and are not as well-built as they used to be.
I'd take a Toyota or Mazda over a Mercedes any day.
All new aircraft of a certain size have modern, auto-landing-capable ILS systems -- but the airports need to be equipped for it too since the ILS data comes from there:)
The autopilot can easily be made to land a jumbo jet these days, it's just cocky pilots don't want to sit around and do nothing while the plane flies itself.
Mind you, not all airports have the "modern" ILS necessary for autopilot landing. Still, an instrumentation downlink from the plane to the ground is enough to land the damn thing by remote control anyways.
So it's really all just a circle jerk after all -- your own content doesn't matter, as long as everyone can see how many "cool people" you're networked with. Right?
Goonfleet just gets grief because they're gutsy enough to play the extreme end of the game's rules -- things that are looked upon as "cheating" in other games, e.g. spying, doublecrossing etc is THE POINT OF THE FUCKING GAME!
No. And who would want Notes' source available? It must be even worse than the code that makes up Vista.
Just sharing the love for Dykstra as I saw this recently: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089489/

That's why I love "The Punisher" so much -- it's good old-fashioned stunts all the way. They also make a point of it in the commentary.

Sitting atedesco reading email all the time, he never gets a spare moment.

I am truly baffled by the numbers of people in just this discussion that don't get this most simple and common example of the cinematic arts.
Hahahahahaha and the sig as well... brilliant, monsieur!

JOURNAL-ist, you know?

With the userid, I guess he's one of us older members that have grown to actually have a life and stuff outside of computers... ...
*cry*
stupidravershithead.mp3 is much better :)
Brilliant. I actually saw an ad once where the company demanded 10 years of Java experience. This was in late 1999...
The Internet is a means of communication, you say? I always thought it was some new kind of sewage system.

My my. I might have replied to the wrong post. My bad, I guess.

Sure, anytime.
