Tell me about it. I thought noone actually would buy them. However, it ends up that it's easy to buy, just enter a few sms numbers, and it gets tacked onto your cellphone bill.
I just started a ringtones on my site last month. I've already sold over 3000 ringtones in over 50 countries. I'd say that ringtone sales are going strong.
You know, you can't trust everyone here because they are not all on your site. You might want to try dailykos or something like that if you're looking for advice.
That said, I suggest you go 100% Microsoft. Outlook does wonders. Switch your phones to Skype. Distribute your press releases on Kazaa... Hope that helps.
1. Of course I complained to Netflix. They have very very slow response and do not answer the question.
2. My first two months of server were during Nov. & Dec., when I was getting them overnight. There was no delay in the post. Netflix has a screen that shows you when the ship, and how long it takes to ship the next one... They even have a nice history screen. You clearly have not investigated this problem. Look at your netflix history and tell me how long it takes them to retrun a movie? How many do you get on an average month?
They delay shipments EVEN if it says a movie is still available. The problem is false advertising.. . which I do believe they are correcting. No where on their site do I find "Unlimited DVD rentals".. this is bacuase they are limiting them, and had to change their wording.
I live near a Netflix distribution center, so postmail is over night, both ways. I also work at home, so I have time to watch movies during the day.
If I get a movie Monday, watch it, ship it back, netflix would have a new movie to me Wed.
My 1st month I got like 20 movies from them. In the 3rd month, they added penalties and cut that in 1/2.
However, if you look at the logs, you can clearly see that they modify their terms after a few months. They delay the shipments of your dvds so you don't get as many. For the first two months of my subscription, each movie was shipped out the same day the last movie came in. On my third month, EVERY movie was shipped out the next day.. clearly not immediately. This effectively cut my # of DVDs that month in 1/2.
I've written to my AG about it and I hope others do. I also hope they clear up their advertising. I hope their competitors get better too.
Some of the new popups I've seen are flash based. Luckly, I have the firefox flash block plugin. It just adds an annoying little flash notice at the top of pages trying to open windows.
Right now, the world would be worse off if we switched to electric cars. We don't have a clean source of electricity that people support, so they'd have to run on coal electricity. This woould make your assumed global warming thing worse. right?
This was discussed before, but the temporary fix, of setting it to off, doesn't work in current versions.
Apperently the setting wasn't reloaded when the browser was restarted. I hope they fix that as well. In the mean time, please do NOT recommend the temporary fix to people, because it makes them think they are safe when they are not!
uhm, no, you are an idiot. many stocks made it out of the crash.
the stock market crash does not mean that all the prices went to zero.
secondly, you don't put all your money into the market in one year, you put it in over many years.
Thirdly, they've added new protections to the market since the crash, including limiting buying on margin, a big cause of the crash it '29.
If you made 32k per year and put the 12% of your earnings in the stock market instead of social security, you would retire a millionaire and get 100k per year in retirement. Instead, it goes into fund the goverment debt making little money. The reality is that the government is living off the backs of retirees. Sure, it's going to cause problems when you take it away.
Interestingly, the iPod shuffle is about the cheapest & smallest 512MB / 1GB player out there.
I've looked high and low for a cheaper / smaller player with that much memory, but couldn't find one.
"The court ordered Google to stop displaying ads for competitors of Louis Vuitton"
Don't worry, Google can still advertise competitors of other products.
"there really isn't anything wrong with it" yet "1-2 billion" repair costs. I'd hate to see how much it'd cost to repair if there was actually some serious repairs required.
I vote for a new telescope that's easier to repair. Not that my vote counts.
However, most people don't realize that your company policies may alter the at-will status. For example, does your company have an "introductory period," where, for the intro period, where after 3 months, your job is somehow safer. The courts have ruled that this creates an implied contract... so if you're suddenly terminated, check your companies policies!

Oh yeah AMEX too. I actually did work at a bank for a few years. They certainly understood it a little more than these guys.
Their excuse: "But the username and password are submitted securely. I don't see the problem."... And it's true, that even if they did take away the login on the unsecured homepage, an attacker could spoof the old homepage that had the login. What they really need to do is teach users never to login on an UNSECURE page. Unfortunately, they teach just the opposite everyday, rigth on their homepage.
All you have to do is disconnect your outside telephone line, then plug the viop router into your regular phone line. Then, all your phones in your house should work.
If your security system uses a modem,
only some of the VIOP providers support modem or fax over VIOP... I know that Vonage does.

However, when everyone starts requring that information, it'll be in all the insecure databases as well.
I think the answer is more about actually contacting the person when opening new accounts.
- My Printer (Canon, yeah, I could buy a driver that costs more than the printer)
- My Scanner
- My Camera (the movies don't play on linux)

I noticed a significant decline in shipping speed in the 3rd month and have filed a complaint with my states attorney general.

Yes, SSL is effect at this. However, many banks don't practice complete SSL security.
Take a look at the homepage of Chase:
http://www.chase.com/
The put a "secure" login on the page. Just look at the little lock there. Just like people are taught to look for.
The problem with this page is that it's not secure... A man-in-the-middle attacker could easily replace this page and where the login form goes to.
I've already complained to Chase about this many times, yet they don't believe that this is a security problem.
