I completely agree. Anime and Star Wars. Who gives a rats ass. This crap keeps cropping up and takes the place of what could have been something interesting. If I wanted to hear about movies I'd go to movienews.org or grab a newspaper.

I'm trying hard not to sound condescending, but you do realize the fact that your playlist often syncs up with what's on TV at the time means that your playlist is pretty limited, right?
What on earth are you talking about? I never said they were the same songs. Just that some parts of them synchronise with the TV. And I'm sure you have better tastes in music than anyone else does.

I like to watch music videos on MTV, VH1 and the country music channel with the TV sound muted while Winamp is playing. It's kind of funny when the music and videos sync up, actually, which is more often than not.

Don't drink Mountiain Dew! Mountain Dew is a highly addictive substance that has adverse health consequences. Mountain Dew is designed to be addicting and dehydrating. Mountain Dew's ingredients include caffeine, a highly addictive substance which also inhibits development, and sodium, which causes the drinker to become thirstier proportionally to the amount of soda consumed. Additionally, the beverage is lubracated so that it can be consumed more rapidly, and, recently, the can's aperture has been enlarged for the same reason (wide mouth can). Someone should start a Target Market for big soda!

Note: this is not offtopic, troll, flamebait. This is important information and certainly is "news for nerds" and even "stuff that matters".

Yes. Debian pretends to be stable by not upgrading its software. That's just an illusion, though; you end up with the old, unfixed bugs still being in the software. Does that make it more stable? I don't think so. Additionally, those who express this or a similar viewpoint are marked as trolls on Slashdot since some Debian fanatics can't accept reality.

I simply don't buy it. It's not like the Debian people are writing the programs. All they are doing is compiling them and packaging them, which doesn't take much time in the grand scheme of things. So this "dropping everything mid-release" sounds like a bunch of nonsense. If you want to see progress check out Gentoo.

  14. Troll Alert on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 Released · · Score: 2
