Twin Warriors? the movie where Jet Li goes off and bounces on people--upside down--like a pogo stick? The one where people can run up a spear aimed at them? The movie where you can actually see the cables on people's backs when they jump?
This, a better martial arts movie?
You gotta be kidding me.
You also realize that Ang Lee had nothing to do with 'Iron Monkey', right? The movie was directed by Yuen Woo-ping (fight choreographer for the Matrix, Crouching Whatevers, etc.)
anyways, there aren't any failed *apollo* missions... a lot of others failed though.
interestingly enough, there are 6 american launch failures (recorded on the timeline), and about 20 russian launch failures. Not sure about how many are manned--it wasn't especially clear on that.
WTF?? how is this redundant?? Offtopic, yes, but definatly not redundant. I think some
moderators should get out of pre-school and learn wtf redundant means!!
and insightful and interesting and funny and flamebait and offtopic and troll and.....
you get the point.
(if ya didn't, it means the school kid moderators are hopeless)
actually, a canadian invented the phone before Alexander Graham Bell. He just didn't have enough money to actually publicize it (as he lived in Canada). Bell, OTOH, was in US and, (i forget the details), somehow made oen too.
I was really impressed too--e.g. once I forgot the blasted WINE homepage again--launched up google, and the first hit was www.winehq.com-now *that's* impressive.
e.g., do an altavista search for wine and look at all the crap ya get... ugh.
uhh... a killing machine? well, if you want to be invisible, having a knife/gun/whatever else weapon is sorta hard, right? though it might scare the hell outta everyone... "look, a floating gun! aaahhhhh!"... ermm... whatever.
I always thought all the different fvwm-like window managers were really really *really* confusing... I mean, fvwm, fvwm2, fvwm95, AnotherLevel, blah blah blah... tiring to figure out which one is which, and about 100 different initialization scripts that startx runs... ugh. nightmare.
umm... If I remember correctly, it actually uses the wine executable and the windows binary--NOT winelib. (do a ps and check if the wine processes are running)
I can understand the speed though. If ya ask me, I wouldn't be too surprised if it ran faster than windows... heh.
Something like this, perhaps?
/. has MS banner ads, and I don't hear /. creaming MS...
Where's the "post comment" button?
Right under the main story but above The Fine Print, the "Reply" button on the right...
and it was the Light Fantastic, not the Colour of Magic

... will be the ones in the DECSS gallery.
Offtopic sure is better than "informative"...
*shudder*
and for those folks who are too lazy to copy and paste, bleh.
I have about 13 karma.
I don't even troll.
most of the karma drops came from metamoderation of my moderations...
or am I the only one who actually went to view it?
... and crosslinked to "The Almighty Buck"...
