If you are guilty, you get charged, thrown in jail, and you post bond, your conviction depends on the size of your wallet and what kind of legal defense you can get. OJ Simpson is a classic example, there are countless others.

Here's the thing... the CIA, NSA, FBI are all getting massive amounts of funding from the tax payer, but... we don't know if they're working. Obviously 9/11 wasn't stopped, a few bombs have been found, never by the previous 3 agencies, more like by a local cop who heard ticking. I've got to wonder if these agencies have switched their directive from protecting us from threats abroad to protecting us from ourselves without our consent.

People abroad are just trying to live their lives just like we are, nobody is f'in stupid enough to sail their battleships at us and try to take us over for obvious reasons (ICBM anyone?)

These agencies were at their prime during the cold war when they were focused on the russians, rather than United States Citizens.

So now what? Read the article, that's the present day FBI... all of it, they have nothing better to put man hours into than harassing US citizens and catching pedos, while the latter is a great service, is the FBI the most efficient for this?

It's a shame it's not more advertised, perhaps it's hard for them to afford to do it on a large scale...

Newegg and other online keep their prices lower by not stocking up 5000 computer boxes in a multi mllion dollar warehouse. They use a 6 figure warehouse, and stock 50 computer boxes expecting to sell 4-5 a day or so.

There is a lot more money in selling your product to a targeted market than to the world wide web make sense? It doesn't have your name on it, just your IP, they can't hack you via a cookie, so your IP is essentially useless unless your run open ports on your router w no firewall, but again fb is the least of your concerns at that point.

It's pretty harmless is my point, ya it's kinda grey area in terms of ethics and accountability (disregard of do not track feature), but at the same time, it's nothing to rile yourself up over, no black suite at a government or fb center is sitting there shaking their head at what porn your looking at (keep it legal).

Not like they have your SSN from that cookie. If your using the same password for your email and fb, your an idiot, not fb. And if your frequenting shady sites after logging out of fb, guess what fb still won't care.

It's a for fun social networking app, not a way of life, not worth any $, and if all your friends are on fb, consider getting your pale ass out the door and spending some time w them rather than posting your thoughts that nobody cares about.

They have absolutely no obligation to any of you to do anything, and Zuckerberg has made enough money where he can safely say "I don't care" and nothing will happen. If fb went offline tomorrow, you would cry for a week, and then get your pale ass out the door to meet your friends and live longer as a result, social networking has gotten a bit out of hand w posts like yours... :)

I've had very good experience calling newegg and getting my RMA waived, especially when it's something beyond my control, they've been very generous, including eating a $13 shipping fee on a $20 toaster oven for an RMA cause the first one was dented during shipping. Last I checked they were VERY competitive on their prices in those categories along with everything else. Their business model ties very close to their shipping model, I've been with them since almost the start.

They've been trying to branch out as a pass through seller amazon style into stuff like rice cookers and HD Tvs. No idea how that's been going for them except they can't post a loss on it as they are not selling it under ordinary circumstances. I've bought some of this stuff esp on shell shocker, and though the shipping is a little disappointing, they can't seem to coordinate too well most of the time, it's always been a good deal, something I can't find in stores without a special trip, and good quality.

Also, if you want to build a computer, where else do you go? Micro center prices are complete BS, Wal-Mart? They still think the 9500gt is top of the line. The manufacturer? Somehow newegg beats their prices 99% of the time.

Question the survival of a cornerstone of the internet PC market is just plain out overzealous.

Ex. they survived the palm pad wars just fine and I don't remember those being too customizable, how about apple? not much you can do there without serious hardware knowledge. I think they'll be just fine.
