    Go to here and download some videos (large!) and download the codec here. These videos are REALLY nice, it's like looking at digital photos.. For me it really is like that since my p3-733 just isn't fast enough to play them! Also get Microsoft's shot at HD quality video here.

    The funniest thing is paying over $50 of an optical digital audio cable that was only a few feet long. If you know anything about how a digital signal you KNOW that this cable is a complete waste of money.

    I remember watching when the bombing started in iraq, i was pretty young.. 11 I think and the local cable company unscrambled CNN for the duration of the war. We pretty much watched CNN and those green tracers for hours a day. It was the best television I ever watched.

    Get a CD Component piece for you system or at least look at some models of players, I know my Sony CD player had an optical output and that model was a few years old.

    except that these things still crash occasionally. No one cares if it lands on a afghani mud hut, but if it hits some power lines and crashes to the ground killing some americans in an city that might just be a problem..

    The new TVs have HDCP copy protected DVI ports which should solve this issue. (should..) The problem is with TV's that have only component out or unencrypted DVI. Those early adopters will get the shaft.

    I'm really not impressed with this thing. I don't think I'll ever buy a mini sound system again. Is it too much to expect at least 5 years of service (not used too much either)?
    The CD player may just be dust, but the volume control is just low durability..

    Another thing, I just tried to play cds.. It doesn't even play cds any more. Meanwhile my dads 25 year old 8-track player still chugs away playing those awesome old tunes! :)

    My mini sound system does this too. You're going to need to buy a better system.. The mini's just aren't built for enthusiasts. They aren't built to last either. My system is 3 years old and the volume control randomly increases or decreases the volume when I turn the knob...

    But our Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has the notwithstanding clause meaning the government can just say "notwithstanding" and violate any part of the charter they feel like it. Hence the language laws in Quebec, bill 101.
    You can't have english only signs. All signs must be French (may contain english at half the size).
    Also, immigrants must go to french schools, even americans (unless they make throw a fit through the local news, then they might get an exception, or they can go to a private english school).
    Our rights are only our rights until the government feels decides to take it away. It's the law.

    But you would expect a VCR technician to be able to do it, so a network administrator should know how to set up their wifi network. It's a different story for home users, but a lot of the warchalking seems to be for companies.
