    I was wondering if I was the only one in favor of branding known spammers. They'd sure have a hell of a time if people knew what the brand ment. "We don't serve spammers here". I also think someone murdering a spammer every few months would help matters.

    Wireless repeaters don't decrease TTL. And besides, you could set some of them to reset the TTL

    I can stream content off my TiVo Series 1 via the ethernet card on my linux box, using a couple of FIFOs.

    OS X lets you create read/write/mountable disk image files that are encrypted with AES-128.

    Did you read thier EULA? They disclaim responsibility if someone hacks them and your info gets leaked.

    My linux router has never had a problem that wasn't caused by a power failure. Never. Having to reboot equipment to get it working again is unacceptable. Espicaly if it's more than a few times a year.

    D-Link writes much better firmware then linksys. I run thier DWL-900AP+ firmware on the few WAP11s we still have in production.

    Um, Linksys's firmware is crap. Thier WAP11s crash frequently, even with the newest firmware.

    Thier Aironet APs have web interfaces over plain HTTP, no password by default.

    Nother TiVo owner here, I like to watch IBM's ads (Bandwidth creating pixie dust, I gotta get me some of that ;), but that's about it. I usualy do 30 second skips. through the commercials.
