Um..... tracert just prints out what hops are taken to reach a computer. If you want the physcal location of the computer, you'll have to get the records from the isp, and the phone copmany. And that's assuming wireless wasn't used
My root password is 14 mostly random letters, numbers, and symbols, and my PGP pasphrase is 35 charcters of junk. Yes, I've memorized them. I'd estimate my PGP pasphrase to have at least 1000 bits of entropy, as it has no real words in it. I belive that even with all the computers in the world working on it, 1000 bits would still take an insanely long time to crack.
A PC keyboard, be it PS/2 or AT, only uses 4 wires. Donno about mac, and it seems to me that doing this to a USB kb would be a serious pain in the ass.
Ok, now a quick search on every body's faviorite auction site revaeled that a loto f these modems are going for as little as $20.
Now, A local isp just began offering 128k wireless internet, and I assume it's the same infrastructure merticom used. So, I suspose I can't use them peer to peer. I wish I could, because a while ago someone figured out how to get on the internet with 2 of these, a host computer and a TI-89 calculator. Ever since then I've dreamed of using my calculator to get on irc in the middle of class, and mabey surf the web from my shell account and lynx. Oh well, I can always use the computers they have in class, or mabey whip out my laptop and some cat 5 and abuse the schools' dual T-1s (there are cat 5 jacks in almost all the classrooms at my hs) Anyway, just my thoughts.
I got banned from the computer lab for about 7 months last year for abusing 'net send' on the NT and 2k workstations. I somehow managed to send a message to all the computers in the the admistration offices. The text was just "blah"
A while a go, I tried to visit shockwave.com from my linux box only to be met with a nasty screen telling me I must use Mac OS or Windows to access thier site. Even changing my user-agent screen didn't let me in. I can't understand why they'd go out of thier way to blobk linux users.
It would on IRC, but not on AOL. You ever seen a log of an AOL chat room? Just like offical Napster chat rooms, only with twice the precentage of idiots. AOL allows a lot of people on the internet that SHOULD NOT be. I'm don't mean computer newbies either, I mean people WITH NO COMMON SENSE. People that will run that cool new 'screensaver' that e1ee7h4x0r69 just sent them even though they don't have a virus scanner, people that will give thier credit card info to http://aolbilling.somerandomfreeredirector.com/, and people that will do anything to thier computer that you tell them to. These people should not be allowed on the internet or AOL, FOR THIER OWN PROTECTION. The internet is a hazordous place, and anyone who can't protect themselves need to either learn or get off. ISPs should at least make an effort to give customers at least a basic lesson in internet safety.
I was actualy thinking about doing something like the for my mom's car for mother's day, but decided aginst her car is so lousy. It strikes me as a inexpensive, but effective method to play cd's in your car. I'd estimate that all the parts do do a decent job of this woulf be under $30 US, as opposed to a retail kit for $100-200 USD.
Mmmmmmm.... Just the thought of that gives me an orgasim. I wonder though, would'nt this prosess also increase resolution a lot, as well as making things cheaper?
Included in America Online's many plans is improved filtering to help DALnet restore it's image as a "Family Network", helping to cut down the amount of pornography and illegal software distribution. Part of America Online's promise is a software development team from their Virginia, USA headquarters to help develop a more efficient and stable IRC daemon.
NOOOOOOOO!!!! Not my warez, porn, and bootleg movies! That's the whole point of DALnet.
America Online also has plans to replace the position of administrators with automated inteligence bots that respond in a logical manor. These bots will be able to provide more "services" for the average user. American Online has not yet disclosed it's long term plans for DALnet once it has been acquired. We plan to bring you further information as it develops.
Riiiiiiiiight...... I think this gives this away as a joke...
This is sadly funny.
Makes more sense then a HW soulition. How often do you Ctrl-Alt-Del and look for weird stuff?

This reminds me of those programs for graphing calculators that make a nearby am radio play music. Is that the same thing?

IRRELAVENT! By then, if it's still needes it would have been conferted to take up one square mm on his thumbnail.

It had just become avaible in my area. :(
Congrats, you're now fully compatible with all the latest worms and virii!
My school now has a 2 year training corse for CCNA certification.....
And I thought that was harsh....
It's snorkday today, right?
Yes, pico is just a nice quick way to get things done. I usualy use either pico or nano when i need to edit somthing from a console.
Silly rabbit, just claim the stupid CC was stolen.

Actally... California Computer News recently fearured a picture of a SPAM can being smashed on thier cover, and got acomplaint letter form hormel.
That is all.

Hehe... I have a pr0n colection on my TI-89, but it's grayscale (2 or 3 bit), and low rez.
That thing doesn't look very stable to me, but I'm not an engineer. I do wonder how big the base will be; I didn't see it in the article.
I wonder how it lasted, I'd think it'd overheat...
Actualy I was refering to the bit about the bots... I had not noticed the errors...
