    The doc had a proportionately spaced font in the days of monospaced typewriters

    there were plenty of proportionally-spaced typewriters back then. that isn't to say that one was used on the document, but the possibility exists. as i said, it isn't definitely a 'forged document'. it's just been called into question.

    dude, i too love lumping entire religions under the stereotype of the absolute worst. that's why i'm no fan of the crusading jew-haters aka the christians.

    The fact is, one of the largest media scandals in modern history was perpetrated by Dan Rather, when he presented obviously forged documents so close to a major presidential election

    incorrect. the documents presented by rather were not 'obviously forged', to this day the best you can get is that their authenticity is questionable. rather went down because he presented documents whose authenticity was questionable as if they were more solid. not 'forged'.

    thing is, as ice melts the earth's albedo drops. that means more energy from the sun is absorbed, causing the rate of ice melt to go up higher and higher.

    Did you forget that they tossed out the inspectors?

    they never tossed out inspectors. in 98 clinton pulled the inspectors out to bomb. in 03 bush pulled the inspectors out to invade.

    Just because we haven't found them by no means is proof they never existed. How long does it take when an attack is looming to move that stuff.

    yeah, with all the satellites we had trained on the area it woulda been a cinch to move the thousands of liters and pounds of crap the administration asserted were there.

    it means it rotates around its axis, and its axis isn't at the same angle all the time. the angle of its axis changes wildly (not stable), so the planet effectively tumbles as it goes around the sun since the axis points in all sorts of directions.

    maybe i misspoke. whatever.

    mars does not have a stable rotation along its axis. it tumbles over itself as it goes around the sun.

    one of those big things that affects and changes its climate. also something we don't have on the earth except to a very small degree.

    hell, when the earth's tilt changes just a few percent it causes major worldwide climate change.

    actually, the fact that cows release so much greenhouse gas fits right in with the fact that mankind has had a negative effect on the atmosphere.

    the reason why cows release so much greenhouse gas is because, thanks to us, there are so damn many of them. the effect is man made b/c of meat and dairy production.

    what you're missing is, the poor pay taxes outside of income taxes. so when they see a tax reduction that's aimed at income, capital gains etc, they see a tax cut that's aimed solely at the rich while the taxes they pay don't change.

    also remember, the same percentage means just that; lowering everybody's income tax 1% saves a middle class family $200 a year or so. it saves a billionaire millions.
