Moderation must be under review again. I do not understand how I can post tons of useful information (links) to support my theories and not get a single point, while people who call me a commie wacko liar conspiracy theorist (while not even checking the links which prove my point) get mod points?
I also saw someone who was expressing genuine concern in NY about Pentagon saying there was 100% chance we would get attacked again, got modded as a troll.
Yeah...um, why don't you go ahead and give me the oil export numbers for Afghanistan then. Just the simple stuff, you know, millions of barrels exported per year, etc.
Oh that's right, there are no oil exports from Afghanistan. Maybe there's some other dark government secret you can dig up for me.
Alright, you got it, ooo you got me. There are no oil exports from Afghanistan yet. But they have been planned for quite a long time.
And mostly plans have been made to move both natural gas and oil through the region from former Soviet republics. But since I am nothing but an idiot conspiracy theorist, you might not want to read the documents from the Department of Energy like I have said in other posts.
From the Department of Energy website:
In February 1998, the Taliban announced plans to revive the Afghan National Oil Company, which was abolished by the Soviet Union after it invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Soviet estimates from the late 1970s placed Afghanistan's proven and probable oil and condensate reserves at 95 million barrels. Oil exploration and development work as well as plans to build a 10,000-bbl/d refinery were halted after the 1979 Soviet invasion.
The Soviets had estimated Afghanistan's proven and probable natural gas reserves at up to 5 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) in the 1970s. Afghan natural gas production reached 275 million cubic feet per day (Mmcf/d) in the mid-1970s.
In January 1998, the Taliban signed an agreement that would allow a proposed 890-mile, $2-billion, 1.9-billion-cubic-feet-per-day natural gas pipeline project led by Unocal to proceed. The proposed pipeline would have transported natural gas from Turkmenistan's 45-Tcf Dauletabad natural gas field to Pakistan, and most likely would have run from Dauletabad south to the Afghan border and through Herat and Qandahar in Afghanistan, to Quetta, Pakistan
Besides the gas pipeline, Unocal also had considered building a 1,000-mile, 1-million barrel-per-day (bbl/d) capacity oil pipeline that would link Chardzou, Turkmenistan to Pakistan's Arabian Sea Coast via Afghanistan. Since the Chardzou refinery is already linked to Russia's Western Siberian oil fields, this line could provide a possible alternative export route for regional oil production from the Caspian Sea. The $2.5-billion pipeline is known as the Central Asian Oil Pipeline Project. For a variety of reasons, including high political risk and security concerns, however, financing for this project remains highly uncertain
So why dont you go ahead and read those little ditties I dug up for you as you requested and remember: its easy to use a search engine, so why not try and use one before copping some sort of attitude about me being some wacko who is full of shit.
I quote you:
Maybe there's some other dark government secret you can dig up for me.
I think the Taleban needs to be taken out no doubt my friend. I also think that terrorism sucks as well.
The thing that I was pointing out and have been, is that the attack on the Taleban has been in the works since June, and we have been planning an oil pipeline in that region for quite some time now. most likely a joint Russian/British/US affair. If you look at the Department of Energy website you will see that even the Taleban were part of this biz venture until recently. This is not a conspiracy, it is a fact.
Go look it up. Its right there at your fingertips. Start with the department of energy website.
I agree, I think everyone who is making a blatant profit, and mostly those who are manufacturing things for sale based on this tradgedy are suspect.
Two or three days after the 11th we were in a large retailer and they had sweatshirts, t-shirts, and baseball caps commemorating the 11th. All I could think was how sick a place we live, where people spent those days and nights cranking out nostalgia wear in order to profit. And even tho some of the money may be sent to help someone is making a buck, cos thats the American way.
I understand your fear and frustration. But do we have to go over this again and again?
our attackers have spilt american blood on american soil. they have killed americans IN OUR OWN HOMELAND!
We do this in other countries all over the world, spilled the blood of the people of those countries (mostly innocent), in numbers greater than those on September 11th. And while this was a horrible tradgedy, and the act of violence should not be excused, the thing I do not understand is, how come it is ok when we do it to them, and not ok when they do it to us?
Go through the recent history books and find time after time again the corupt regimes and policies that we support (Khmer rouge for example: 3 million Cambodians killed and we supported them. Our track record is horrible.
We have the ability to approach this differently, we give all this talk about peace, but yet we are the first people to declare war: ever notice that our violence is deeply ingrained in our psyches; war on drugs, war on poverty, war on terrorism. The BS goes "We are a peaceful nation, one of resolve, but we'll kick your ass..." blah blah blah.
But really the story is this:
but you've got to keep this one fact in mind. they want you DEAD(WE WANT THEIR OIL). if you are american, be it anti or pro war, they want you DEAD. (IN ORDER TO GET SUPPORT FOR TAKING THEIR OIL WE HAVE TO PORTRAY THEM AS CRAZY AMERICAN HATING BROWN WACKOS) they want your family and friends DEAD along side you (MORE PROPAGANDA, PUT FAMILY AND FRIENDS INTO IT SO YOU WILL SUPPORT OUR ACTION TO GET CENTRAL ASIAN OIL). and honestly i don't see them stopping until they themselves are infact DEAD..(YEP, LOOKS LIKE THE GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED MEDIA HAS YOU CONVIENCED THAT THEY ARE BROWN AND CRAZY)
This oil thing has been planned for a long long time. Shut off CNN and check around. May as well start with your own Gubments documents here. And also think real closely at whose interests George W. Bush and company represent. OIL and ENERGY.
Lets try to recontextualize your previous statement within the confines of the reality of the situation at hand(barring the terrorist attacks of course). OK:
On CNN an hour ago the Pentagon spelled this out clearly; We have a simple choice, offense or defense. We must secure completely the oil in the Central Asian region. Since we live in a free and open society the choice to live in "defense" is impossible. The American and British people want to drive gas guzzling automobiles, and do so for cheaper than the rest of Europe. Oil is the only answer, and a joint British, Russian, Pakistan pipeline will be created. "Offense" is our only choice and the military assault begins now. So we can begin the end process of gaining control of the oil in the Central Asian, and reduce the prices for our allies. Dont get too excited NATO countries, we dont want your help, cos we dont want you to have our oil. All heroin profits will be divided amongst all people we sell large amounts of "Alternative Rock" on MTV. If you do not have MTV, please contact our NYC offices. Yea, these guys freak me out too but I can't seem to disagree with them. I want to drive my car, get 5 miles to the gallon, and pay less than 1 dollar a gallon.
This does not even take into consideration the other goals at work here that cannot even be discussed.
I know, I know, its illegal and all, but I just spent a year over in Asia and I will tell you, in the countries I visted, you cannot find one legitimate CD, Software CD-ROM, Game Cartridge, PS CD. They are all fake. Movies come out on VCD before they are even in the theatres, and they all cost a buck or two. In Thailand, Tower records had to leave Bangkok because they could not sell a CD for 10 bucks because all over the city the same cd's we for sale for 2 bucks.
Anyway, while over there I wrote an email back to people at home, and it went something like this:
I was reading the Bangkok Post the other day and Hollywood was tossing out another peice of self congratulating propaganda about how they are making more money now with their movies than they had in the last couple of years. They thought that this was nice (of course) but did go on to say that they are also losing more money than ever to kids who are downloading movies off the net, much like the recording industry is to people who use Napster and Mp3 format files.
Darn kids. Making the media moguls lose so much money, they may go bankrupt. Which of course would mean, no more Tom Cruise in MI VII, no more lite(tm) and fluffy romantic comedies set in Seattle, no more Brittany albums, no more Westlife CD's. What oh what ever are we to do?
Before you believe another word Hillary "I am on TV now" Rosen of the RIAA and her dupes/pawns and ex metal stars sans credibility Metallica tell you about how piracy of copyrighted material is being led by some file sharing software company and the evil children who use it. Ponder this little nugget they wont tell you on CNN.
I have been in Asia for almost 6 months now. Everywhere I go there are tons and tons, shop after shop, table after table, nook after nook of places to buy anything and everything that is copyrighted in the west. Books, CD's, DVD's, VCD's, Software, hardware, jeans, shirts. You name it, they got it. And it is cheap. The situation is so prevelent, that I have only seen ONE legitimate place to buy a real CD. Tower records in Bangkok. The place is pretty empty too. Why would you spend $12 on a CD, when you can get 'em anywhere else for $3?
So where is it all coming from? Before Miss Rosen or that Lars from Metallica starts thinking for you and leads you to believe your kids are downloading this stuff and amassing a fortune with the digital equivalent of smuggling right under your noses. Almost everything I have seen on the street has its origins in China and The former Soviet Union. You see it printed right on the back of the CD, or book, or VCD movie disk. Why should they care? Your kids are being blamed back home. Not China.
You know China? Those wacky "most favored trade status" human rights activists over there in the mystical East. A movie "comes out" back home, and less than a week later it is showing at a guesthouse resturaunt in Kathmandu or Bangkok with Chinese subtitles on it. Granted, the early copies may have been shot in a theatre in Hong Kong, but it does not take long for the real digital copy on VCD to show up in stores, with a color copy cover art package for the price of a little over a buck. Want Windows 2000? One buck. You know the score.
So anyway, my point is, who the heck knows? Sure kids are downloading music and movies and stuff. That is for sure. But those kids have so little impact compared to the Big Red Bully in the East -China. The place that we ignore the worst human rights record in recent history so we can have em all smoking Marlboro lights, sucking down a Brownie Peanutbutter Grande mochachinno frappe lite(tm) from Starbucks, and powerlunching at the foot and mouth disease capital of the world- McDonalds.
My experiences with these @home nimrods makes me think they must be sabotaging themselves for christ sakes.. Its like the keystone cops or car 54 where the hell are you.
first day of attempted install one guy sits on my floor and looks at my backround picture like he had been smoking 10,000 pounds of somthing before coming in the house. The other guy is putzing around with the cable outlet:
where's my screwdriver asks one.
Long pause.
So are you into dogs or what? (refering to the pic on my desktop)
this goes on for an hour.. they say finally:
Aint gonna work, the only way is if they drill a hole in the wall and bring a wire from the moon they tell me.
I call the org. They say, yeah they are fixing it. 10 days and we will have sig strength.
15 days later, two new guys come. promise me it will work NO PROBS. 10 hours later, no block sync. Call @home. CODE RED VIRUS has made it not work. My name is on the computer that says, CODE RED VIRUS in the area, tell him it will be a FEW DAYS.
He tells me to call back.. Better make it 3 or 4 days.
I call back, she is gonna get the supervisor to find out why it is still a "flashing modem" (we are now at 20 days.)
She will email me as soon as she knows.. That would be one week. One week gone, she no email me. I call. They say they can send someone out in 2 weeks..
You get the pic.. sorry for the long drawn out story.
Turns out the guys the first time did not take off TWO data filters on my pole, and installed a bunk filter in the box in my building. % truck rolls and two months to get it installed.
ps. I got two bills for 2 months service for the time the modem never worked.
But speaking of this kind of stuff, I was just over at O'Reilly, browsing around trying to jump start my memory of perl (I have been away for a year) and I noticed that they use.asp on their servers. Is that kind of odd since they are making a bundle off of all sorts of free software and act as a (great) resource and promotion for all things open source. I wonder why not.php?
I really don't have the time or interest to compare soundcards, and I know I'm not alone in that. Most people don't need anything very special.
I bring up the audio card thing, because there is this idea that floats around that Macintoshes are the top platform for Audio Production. Now aside from ProTools which is both a hardware and software solution that'll cost you big bucks, there is not the same range of pro quality card for the music sub-pro available at a cheap cost. Now this might not matter to you, and whoever else you are including in the "people who dont need anything special", but maybe its because of this that people are going over to the windows platform so they can make music. Not many people making music? I beg to differ. I would have to reckon that due to the availability of high quality soundcards, soft synths, and amazing software studios for cheap, more and more people are doing it everyday, if only as a hobby.
The on board sound components of a Macintosh are limited in this respect.
Apple needs to ability for somebody to look at the screen and say "hey, that's Mac OS X."
Hey, I totally agree with that, but you cannot tell me that Apple is not a huge corporation with huge corporation goals. Just because they use the word 'revolution' in advertising does not mean they are revolutionary.
And while I dont really care about that fact, I am stating it as I have experienced it.
I dont know Apple very well? You dont know me very well. I spent five years working with Apple at the school district whose tech program I was helping run, so I do know all the ins and outs of the way Apple as a corporation runs. I know the manipulation, the lies, the long hours waiting for support on the phone for shoddy products they tend to dump on the school systems (5000 series all in ones anyone?), and I found dealing with them, their reps, etc to be very much the same as dealing with Redmond.
To be honest, I used to be a HUGE Apple supporter, from the old days, and actually, working in that environment ended it within a couple of months.
If the situation was reversed and Apple was on every desktop, they would act exactly the same way, no question. They already do to some extent, using their leverage in their own market to force situations that are to their advantage. Hardware monopoly for example? Take the soundcard or graphics card situation. They chose, so you get to chose what they have chosen.
But really, I use all OS's and all platforms when possible. The only thing that pisses me off is when people say they are different, when actually, that is just a ad campaign that they spent tons of money on to make people believe its true.
Its true. It is hard to imagine, yep. Apple is not the radical, religious, saviour and motivator in Jihad against a corporate megalith. It is one itself, and has all the same goals as the big guy they are fighting against. Its funny, but everyone gets so riled up about how great Apple is, but it is exactly the same thing as Microsoft.
.... But really it is easy to associate this kind of crap that Apple pulled with the kind of censoring of information that the current administration in the white house is doing in regards to the "world biggest story".
See what corporations do? The White house is a corporation, with total corporate sponsorship, Apple is a corporation, with no damn excuse.
It was some themes somebody built. Thats how the net works you guys; folks build themes, folks make X-Files fan sites, and that what they do.
But if you want more about the whitehouse, click the link below to find out some fun info on some of the BS they have been throwing out (with proof!) since that tragic day.
and then trying to stamp out and adjust what people say. Just like Apple in this story.
Religon can't be dictated by the Government, and the Government can't be dictated by any religon (Groups who have 'the orgin of man' and a belife)... at least thats the way it was set up... not actually practiced.
Then why is it on my TV every single commerical break under the guise of some "feel good, lets all get together and be unified under the flag, god bless us.."
And then the special government church services on Friday after the attack, one on Thursday night.. They interupted the news to show 15 minutes of church and all our fav politicians there.
too much church for my comfort.
Its really odd. I hear the gov is paying for some of those spots.
DAILY LIFE IS CHANGING
Daily life in America is likely to change as a result of the Sept. 11 attacks -- with the newly created Office of Homeland Security likely to play a role in those changes, current and former government officials said.
"I think in order to defend the homeland, we're going to need more information about virtually every citizen. So we're going to have more databanks and databases that have information about us,"
INCREASED SURVEILLANCE
Even as Americans returned to their normal pursuits, surveillance was increased. For example, there were car inspections at the Mets-Braves baseball game at Shea Stadium Friday night -- the first major outdoor sporting event in the New York area since the attacks.
President John F. Kennedy was quoted as saying, a mere ten days before his death:
"The high office of President has been used to forment a plot against the American people. Before I leave office, I must inform the citizen of his plight."
The whole system operates on smoke and mirrors, as most Americans simply aren't aware of what's going on.
I am recontextualising that statement to make comment.
Not to sound like some Anti-NWO freak here, but really really people need to take a look at what is going on here.
Dont want to open a can of worms, but I was out of the country during the the "election", and for all intents and purposes, people the world over viewed it as a Coup. Pure and simple. Its not what CNN said. Its what the person in the street and the international media were saying. Like you average European.
Next, support for the administration was pathetic, his and crews numbers were so low, here and abroad.. He had no support.. And rightly so, look at the dismantling of progressive efforts, and a return to 50's style cold war ethics and games.
So when this horrible tragedy happened on the 11th, as shocking as it is, isnt it amazing that those approval numbers went up to 90%, the world over, and all discourse about what a numbskull we have in office has been obliterated for fear of being called "anti american' and the same old cold war era crap. Even people who critique the Bush policies for a living are hanging up their hats "In this time of need".
Now, with the magic approval ratings so high, and critical thinking at such a low, is it not kind of odd that a plethora of REALLY scary ideas are being drawn up and passed through the senate and congress right now as we speak with absolutely no discussion or representation of what it is that the people here truly want? Maybe we should wait until the population is thinking more clearly?
Also, how bout all this money being handed out, another 40 billion for emergency military aid, seen as a down payment by congress on a larger sum yet to be announced. Add that on top of the other 40 billion added to the 300 or so billion the defense budget was already at. The Cheifs of Staff were pissed off earlier this year that Bush could not round up more budget for the boyz. And now he was just handed a "blank" check.
And they have given partial OK for the missle sheild. How the hell did that happen. Search the news over the last week, they slipped that one by us while we were awating news of some city getting Anthrax in our drinking water.
So yeah, maybe a ID card is no big woop. But as part of a larger package of privacy and security measures that are becoming instantly enacted on the American people. You gotta wonder who this war is really being fought against. At this point it seems it is only us.
Some people are saying:
Rumor has it Microsoft made a deal with the US gub'ment to monitor certain illegal activities in exchange for an anti-trust settlement.
It may have happened already is what I am trying to say.
Yes, I'm outraged by the loss off life and destruction of property. But I'll be more outraged by the sheep that allow things like this to pass.
Amen. Scary it is that we are being asked time and time again over the last week or so to get ready for a loss of 'freedoms' and how on CNN the other day Ashcroft was quoted as saying cheerfully(and I cannot find the link right now, will post)"From now on we are going to have to keep tabs on the majority of US citizens, including massive databases and databanks".
This is the part that is scaring me the most (aside from people who are profiting off of this mess CNN, Ellison, etc..)
From the CIA website: Afghanistan Transnational Issues
Disputes - international: support to Islamic militants worldwide by some factions; question over which group should hold Afghanistan's seat at the UN
Illicit drugs: world's largest illicit opium producer, surpassing Burma (potential production in 1999 - 1,670 metric tons; cultivation in 1999 - 51,500 hectares, a 23% increase over 1998); a major source of hashish; increasing number of heroin-processing laboratories being set up in the country; major political factions in the country profit from drug trade.
Moderation must be under review again. I do not understand how I can post tons of useful information (links) to support my theories and not get a single point, while people who call me a commie wacko liar conspiracy theorist (while not even checking the links which prove my point) get mod points?

Guess its just progress.
yeah I asked my tech, hey whats this BA # on my workorder.. they both thought for a while then one said:
Braodcast adress..
I said, hey oh yeah right dumb me. Forgot.
And they said: Which is weird cos I dont know what they are broadcasting.
The other guy said.. Oh yeah, they are in the TV buisiness, that must be what.
the guy who did not know what they were broadcasting told me he was working on his CCNA.
oh man oh man oh man oh man.. no freeken doubt.
% truck rolls and two months to get it installed.
ps. I got two bills for 2 months service for the time the modem never worked.
so why they going out of biz again?
But speaking of this kind of stuff, I was just over at O'Reilly, browsing around trying to jump start my memory of perl (I have been away for a year) and I noticed that they use .asp on their servers. Is that kind of odd since they are making a bundle off of all sorts of free software and act as a (great) resource and promotion for all things open source. I wonder why not .php?
Sorry. The truth hurts.
Hey guess what? I dont care about Microsoft, and I dont care about Apple. I was just making a statement with regards to a statement that they made.
what makes you so threatened as to make veiled attacks on people you deem 'leftist fanatics'.
Oh right.. Your a troll, and thats all you'll ever be. And I stupidly responded. How dumb of me.
Religon can't be dictated by the Government, and the Government can't be dictated by any religon (Groups who have 'the orgin of man' and a belife) ... at least thats the way it was set up ... not actually practiced.
Nifty Pic
That pic had the caption:
'Police held two men at gun point in New Jersey after a bus driver reported they spoke, "little English," and seemed "suspicious."'
The read this quote from MSNBC
Here is a copy of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001 second draft.
As well as the "Mobilization Against Terrorism Act".
All I can say is, be careful what you wish for and what saying "Oh whats a little ID card."
It won't stop there.
President John F. Kennedy was quoted as saying, a mere ten days before his death:
"The high office of President has been used to forment a plot against the American people. Before I leave office, I must inform the citizen of his plight."
We know where your going today.
From the CIA website:
Afghanistan Transnational Issues
Disputes - international: support to Islamic militants worldwide by some factions; question over which group should hold Afghanistan's seat at the UN
Illicit drugs: world's largest illicit opium producer, surpassing Burma (potential production in 1999 - 1,670 metric tons; cultivation in 1999 - 51,500 hectares, a 23% increase over 1998); a major source of hashish; increasing number of heroin-processing laboratories being set up in the country; major political factions in the country profit from drug trade.
