WOOHOOO! I actually liked Jar Jar. He gave the movie some comic relief. People need to lighten up and laugh now and then. Life's too short to get worked up over everything.

  2. Re:Why software?? on UK: Software And Business Methods Not Patentable · · Score: 1

Would you patent a book that you just wrote so somebody else doesn't write it? No, you would copyright it. The same goes for business methods, copyright them. Patents should be left to hardware.

  3. Perfect Place on CueCat Seeks Simpsons Endorsement · · Score: 1

On the Itchy and Scratchy show! It gets blown to bits as Scratchy scans something at the supermarket with it.

Right on! There's probably a good reason why these people can't have children of their own. They just need to accept the "Natural Selection" and adopt. A little chlorine in the pool helps keep it clean.

  7. Simple solution on Global Warming Worse Than Thought · · Score: 1

Sparks create ozone (O3). So why not put some huge spark generating machines above Antarctica to fill in the hole? Everybody is concerned about slowing down the process. Why not figure out a way to reverse it?

  8. Real Smart on NASA To Shoot Comet With Copper Projectile · · Score: 1

Isn't that the same type of thing that caused the dinosaurs to die out? We could be destroying the smartest living thing in the universe that built its own "comet" and is coming to study our sun and after that, let us in on a few "secrets" of the great beyond. But why would we be concerned about anything than expanding our knowledge bank?

  9. Cars on Is the Net The Cause of California's Power Problems? · · Score: 1

Since they're concerned with air pollution, more people are buying electric powered cars. Those cars take a lot of batteries, and batteries need charging. While normal people burn gasoline and just pump a little CO into the atmospere, the electric car people just plug in taking valuble electricity that could be used for more worthwhile things.......like running that large Tesla Coil, or nuking the furby.

Your astronomy teacher was right, you can't have sound in space. That's why these sounds were transmitted via radio waves. How do you think astronauts communicate with Houston?

  12. Charge 'em on AOL Sues Porn Spammers · · Score: 1

I know this goes into another touchy subject but...why not charge spammers to email? Make the people that send out large quantities of unsollicited email pay postage. This would generate some lost revenue for the Postal System and it would make some companies think twice before clicking on "spam" err i mean send.

  13. Wait a minute... on Is There A Santa Claus? · · Score: 1

Isn't Saint Nick the guy that is on the real $3 bill? The one that can actually be used as currency. I seem to recall Paul Harvey talking about this a while ago. Why would the U.S. Mint put a fictional character on money; he must exist.

  14. GTA2 on Up, Up, Down, Down: Part Four · · Score: 1

For me the most addictive game would have to be Grand Theft Auto 2. I can play that game for hours and still end up with bad karma from the Krisna. Even with a multitude of GOURANGA cheats in place its still fun. The army hack that gives you your own personal stash of tanks, jeeps and trucks will turn you into a "Cop Killa" in no time.

The greatest man whoever thought loved music. Einstein loved playing his violin. Teach this child to play music and you've given him/her the world. Also, as for teaching book matter, don't. 19. Hotline on Warez and Abandonware · · Score: 1

Hotline has helped me gain many a program. I use these programs all the time and if I would have paid for them all, my bill would be well over $1000. Some software companies charge way too much for software. Why do they think their programs are being pirated? People don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get programs that are very useful. One program I downloaded would have cost me almost $600! I realize that these programs take a multitude of hours and days to complete, but still, why so much?

  20. I Remeber when... on FCC Considering 10-Digit Dialing [UPDATED] · · Score: 1

we made the switch from 5 to 7 digit local calls. For example: if the number you were dialing was 123-4567, all that you had to dial was 3-4567. Now they make us dial all 7! Dialing all 7 is much faster, with the 5 it took a few seconds to connect, but with 7 it starts ringing when you release the last number.

All these numbers get so confusing. Why can't we just ring up Central and have the operator switch the wire to the correct hole and be done. No extra charge, no per minute charge, no hook up fee, no 10-10-10-10- 8475698 numbers. Best of all... no confusing keypad!

  21. Judge Shopping on Rambus Slammed For 'Judge Shopping' · · Score: 3

What does the fact that people actually shop for judges (for a good reason) say about the justice system? Shouldn't all judges deal out the same punishment for similar crimes? Shouldn't they all be equal? Justice is blind but she sure can smell that money being wafted under her nose.

It was embarrassing. I dropped the coin i was using to make up my mind, it made such a loud noise on the metal table in the booth that it scared me and the lady next to me. We both had to get replacement ballots because we accidently marked them up in fright. Then we were both warned to behave ourselves. The funny thing is, she was 80 years old.
