    How did this get modded Insightful? it's not even right. Nobility is an inheritable title providing title and right. Nobility was highly praised because it let you vote, House of Lords and all that.

    An earned title isn't the same at all. Being able to put PHD behind your name is a convention to reference your educational level, the same way that Mrs. References marital status in females.

    Lemmie guess, never graduated college, and are bitter that it's a needed thing for corporate advancement?

    Engineering is always the same. Huge initial class, 2/3 major change. Just people (myself included) who realized engineering wasn't what they thought it was.

    Ok, it's time for a basic math lesson (heavily exaggerated). Product A ships 100 units a year. Product B ships 50 units a year. Does product A have a bigger market share than B?

    Not necessarily.

    If product A lasts for 1 year, and product B lasts for 10, which one has a bigger market share?

    There are many ways to measure market share, including the cumulative installed base, the total number of active users, the number of companies using each product, or customer spend.

    You've also got to remember that most of what a President does doesn't have an immediate effect on the economy. The number that were close (thank you, econometrics classes), were 1/4 credit for their current term, 1/2 credit for the term after that, and 1/4 for the term following that one.

    Still looks good for the Clinton presidency, but staggeringly so.

    Its might also be the case. Your USB dongle is outside your case, but the centrio is internal. The may no have designed the antenna well enough to work in the case.

    Only one of the articles mention said anything about an "operating system." The rest called it a system problem. That does not necessarily mean an OS, or anything related to it. I think katu's reporter jumped to a conclusion.

    The answer isn't always to create an uncircumventable solution. The answer is to create a good solution, and be able to adapt it when some is able to circumvent it.

    You're missing the parent's point. He's certainly not saying all software should be run off of cds. He's saying that software installs shouldn't need an installer. The Mac was he's advocating is literally a drag and drop of a single icon, and it handles the rest, since all the program needs to run are calls to the OS, or else are handled by internal parts.

    Not a fan of iPhoto either. I prefer iView, but you can get away with just using Image capture to view your photos individually before import. Still, I'd rather iPhoto do it than need another program.

    Because this isn't a slippery slope situation. At most small-medium sized companies, the guys you call for database help, or because you can't turn off auto complete in word, are the same guys you call for training, or for more advanced issues. Because you can do some tasks remotely doesn't necessarily remove your interaction.
