    I don't see how that much different fro the argument to not put stoplights on every intersection, and mandate all cars be filled with bubble wrap. Speed limit should be 5, and all cars should have a system to detect everything around it within a half a mile, regardless of the cost.

    Hey, if it saves one person from dying unnecessarily....

    It was only the first gen G4 Xserve's are that loud. The second were fine. Much quieter that our god forsaken Dells.

    Well, right. The idea behind the hybrids was that it charges the battery when you break. Over long car trips, you're not breaking, so you're not actually getting much benefit from the hybrid-ness of the car. Also why the city rating for MPG is so much higher in a hybrid, verses it being lower than highway in a normal car..

    Ok, so no problem or you, but I'm pretty sure there was an authorized reseller bit, so it'd be against the EULA to actually use your key.

    Well,first, they don't necessarily get paid each week. They get paid per episode. Difference.

    When was the last time you got a raise? Did you feel bad because somebody in a third world country could live on that amount for a year? What you get paid isn't a direct relation between what you need to live on, its of what your work is worth. Their work, since it makes Fox a metric crap load of money, is worth more than yours, which doesn't make a people a crap load of money.

    You mean those things most home users don't know about or ever see?

    Its a press realse. Its not a white paper or a tech demo. Hell, it was probobly writen by a marketng guy who doesn't know what a losssy format is, and has their engineers grumbling about it as we speak.

    Frankly, I'm happiest about the update to Compressor. They finally fixed the stupid limitation that makes it not be able to use Quicktime Exports.

    FC also included a lot of bug fixes.

    Actually, judging from list time i was out there, Adobe has lots of Cinema displays, Powerbooks, and iPods.

    They don't even need to have Shake. You can install the render client to go with it. Doesn't count as an additional Shake license that way.

    If only they could do something like that for Final Cut.

    Not the Dazzle (although I prefer the Canopus products), iChat just does that for whatever reason. If you use a different firewire video viewer, it'll show up fine. Grab Video Capture off version tracker if you want to check it out, and of course Broadcaster, and the variations of FinalCut also do it.

    Well, that first one's not to accurate. Pop out your combo drive, toss in a Superdrive. You can't buy it directly from Apple but what other computer manufacturer sells you upgrade parts?

    Or get an external one. They work great too.

    The iSync API pisses me off as well though. We'd love to develop inhouse syncing conduits, but can't.
