You don't get to decide how their product is used, they do. If they want to run a lousy server, then its a lousy server you'll use.
You bought a license to play a copy of a Blizzard game, and you are allowed to exercise that license according to the terms laid out by Blizzard. If you don't like them you should stick to playing Penguin Navigator or some other GPL'd game (if there are others).
They probably know him from the famous song "Will the Real Bruce Perens Please Stand Up" that was getting quite a bit of airplay a couple of years ago. It hit #1 on the pop charts I think.
I would post the lyrics but I can't be bothered to get around the lameness filter.
Oh no, not Weezer! They are so talented, and have so much to say.
Weezer is so great, and they are being oppressed. Man, Weezer is a great band. That Weezer, they sure are good, and I like their music a lot. It is so poignant, and cool. Weezer, those guys are wonderful.
I sure hope that next Weezer album makes it out on the shelves. I have been waiting to hear some new Weezer, now I know what the hold up is. I hope Weezer prevails. Good ol Weezer.
Put your Music and your Books on a website, free for download by all.
Maybe when the rent comes due the landlord will see your website, realize that you are fighting the good fight against the man, and just let you live in his building free of charge.
The lack of whitespace in your post indicates that you were banging away at the keyboard hurriedly, driven by the knowledge that you were making very obvious, even Katzian, observations, and for maximum karma whoring effect you needed to get in as quickly as possible.
Next time slow down a little. Think things though first.
Just a little karma collection tip from your buddy l33t j03.

Hi, could you stop trolling please? I would expect someone with a 5 digit UID to have a little more respect for this place than you seem to have.
For those who want to know, and don't want to be led astray by trolls, this is a hamfest. It is a festival celebrating ham, and ham products. There are many of these fests all over America, many people attend them, and I think they deserve more credit than to be used as trolling material. The original poster must have found some good deals at one of these fests. Although I have never run across anyone selling electronics at one I highly recommend that you attend, unless you are a violent muslim or vegetarian, in which case you are not welcome.
The discussion of domain arbitration is going well at this point, I'd sure be happy to pay for this kind of information. I'd go as high as $5 per 1000 pages of this.
Once you buy a subscription they have your real name and address. Then they begin the collection of what stories you hit the most, what types of posts you respond to, what you post yourself. Its like the political demographic data they collected during the election, only this is actually linked to you personally.
Don't think they don't, or won't. When some guy shows up with a bag of hundreds, and its accept the bag or shut the place down and miss the next mortgage payment, your ass is sold. Just like when they crowed about how wonderful the GPL was, then, when things aren't looking good on the P&L front, started selling proprietary extensions to their stuff.
While this response is all well and good, it isn't like Sun doesn't have a storied past. This is the company that tried to drive everyone away from Java by suing the hell out of everyone who used the word in any way in their product.
"Microsft's Java virtual machine is an obvious attempt to leverage their monopoly power to stifle a product that is at the core of Sun's business model..."
Absolutely ridiculous. While Sun is responsible for much of the initial work that went into Java, I can't imagine that it is the 'core of their business'. And I though the idea was that it was to be a universal language? MS is a big target, and Sun is just trying to grab a chunk of them for themselves.
I bet Motorola wants a phone user who isn't stupid enough to think he has to move the phone down to him mouth when he talks, and up to his ear to listen.
This a pointless post. Really, I think most Slashdotters are like me: They know they need to quit coming here but rather than take the initiative to do it themselves, they are just waiting for the place to collapse in on itself.

The new rallying cry of Open Source appears to be: "If we can't make money on software we'll try to make sure no one else does either."
Maybe it would be more entertaining if it were posted in English.
Install yourself some Windows XP, maybe the increase in network speed, GUI response, and stability will allow you to beat me to FP next time.
Good luck then.
Luckily MS is preparing a version of Windows XP for the Mac.
Translation: This is an Open Source bug, thus it is of no consequence.
It's another scam all right. The scam is called Open Source.
Translation: Sony bought an ad.
Keep your eyes peeled for a big ass Sony ad planted in the middle of your page.
I would post the lyrics but I can't be bothered to get around the lameness filter.
Please post more trolls.. Thanks.

Software and Open Source aren't best used in the same sentence either, but I don't see you rambling on about that.
Buy a subscription, so they can sell your personal info.

I guess its a push.
