    That is the exact point. Its operating in a range outside of regulators, so it is much easier to dupe people into giving you money.

  4. My issue is Steam is so bloody crowded full of absolute shit, I can't find anything good to play and its turning me off the platform.

    Things you consider "abosolute shit" are considered "good" by someone else, and vice versa.

    That's actually a big part of Valve's announcement (http://archive.is/KtduG). They want to give their customers better tools to find games they like and ignore games they don't.

    No they aren't. There are thousands of half-completed asset flips crowding the Steam store. I don't bother looking at it anymore, as it is so completely filled with shit.

    And the Steam suggestions? Most of them are "early access" incomplete games who's developers are just trying to grab as much cash as they can before abandoning the project.

  13. It became illegal to use SSN as an identifier for private companies a while back. The same should be for the security questions.

    Of course my mother's maiden name is a 32 byte hex string, so good luck with that. I had a bank employee thank me for having something that could not be easily hacked.

    The reason for this is clear in the posts here...no one from the "open source community" trusts Microsoft.

    There's a reason why, and it isn't because the open source community is a bunch of dirty hippies. It is because Microsoft has spent 30 years proving they cannot be trusted with anything.

    They aren't going to make back $7.5M, much less the $7.5B they paid.

    I am sure some executive at MS thinks they are going to get people to buy in to MS lifecycle products and switch over to some disaster like TFS.

    GitHub already has fees for business accounts. One of the reasons my company went with Atlassian Bitbucket because it was cheaper for a small team. (The primary reason is that we already used Jira and the integration is better.)

    A better comparison would be of girls that are 'tiddy bait' vs girls that actually play the games vs girls that don't need to put their face on the screen when playing.
