"We have now moved into an era where the consumer is in control"
Thats a good thing!
As a Canadian I am sick of this "protect our culture" bullshit. Culture is what the population makes it, not what the government decides it should be with censorship. I embrace globalization, enjoy media from all over the world and I watch a show because of its quality, not its nationality. I don't need the gouverment to scold me and say: "be more Canadian!". Beside, its not like there is a lack of successful Canadian artists and actors in the United-States.In the end, freedom of choice is worth the price.
Google is to search engines what Frisbee is to flying discs.
With such a recognizable brand name, I don't see them cowering under the competition, unless they shot themselves in the foot or something.
@"The US public is much more comfortable with depictions of violence than sex." Perhaps the reason for that is the US origin as a mostly Christian country. Sex is a much bigger taboo in the bible then violence (of which there is plenty)

What is a "women" game anyway. Maybe the real sexist issue is our preconceived idea of what things you're suppose to enjoy according to your gender.
Not a big lost at this point. I already stopped watching G4 when they canceled CodeMonkeys
Remapping controls is also important for gamers with disabilities.
