    Two different people arguing two different positions in two different discussions are not inconsistent. You are not debating a hive mind.

    I like the design of my iPod, and I like the versatility of my Treo. I have few, if any, stability issues, and I have a number of apps that Make My Life Easier, none of which are available on Blackberry.

    And if I used a Blackberry, I'd have to find an Exchange server to install the server software on, and I'd rather nail my tongue to my desk.

    What makes you think that they'd ever place the nation's interests ahead of their own, in the inevitable cases where they are not compatible?

    At least representative governments are theoretically accountable for their actions. (Yes, in practice, I know this is rarely the case, but I think that LESS representativeness is not the correct option.)

    Chrysler used to own Lamborghini. VW/Audi DOES build your Bugatti (and, nowadays, your Lamborghini), and Aston is a subsidiary of Ford.

    Alienware makes stupid looking computers (with the PC analogs of neon green wings and big stupid body kits) just like Dell. (same machines, less stupid neon)
