I am a Christian, and a scientifically-minded individual. I believe science and religion address different questions, and do poorly when they are conflated.
"it is an affront to those who believe in Creation"
I'm sorry your feelings are hurt. Your beliefs are not scientific, so therefore, not relevant to science classrooms.
"There are many scientific examples of data that contradict the theory of evolution that are not explained"
Cite some. Don't use Behe.
ID is Creationism in a lab coat. It is no more scientific than a belief in the Tooth Fairy. You are absolutely free to espouse your beliefs in the Tooth Fairy, but you would be very dishonest were you to present those beliefs as scientific theory.
How does the Tivo know whether to tune in to Cable Channel 2 or Satellite Channel 2? How do you subscribe to two different channel lists with your Tivo?
(Leaving aside the crazy brain-thing that would motivate somebody to pay for both cable and satellite as another discussion entirely)
I think it's just as easy to conclude that people can't imagine themselves using mobile video. I don't think that's the same conclusion as yours...
Hell, 100 years ago, who would have been able to imagine themselves going from London to Tokyo in less than a month or three? Does that mean there's no demand for air travel?
Demand can be manufactured. Build a better mousetrap...
The main reason small TVs haven't sold well is that they don't work very well. You're limited to OTA broadcasts and a fairly crappy antenna. These new schemes route around that issue.
I wouldn't venture to say if these schemes will WORK, but they are substantially different from your black n' white 1986 Watchman.
It's been possible on my.tivo.com for some time as well. I find the integration with Yahoo convenient, because my.tivo.com was designed by congenital morons.
"I expect the process around GPL 3.0, when it begins in some 60 to 90 days' time, to collect a great deal of comment from people on the draft documents... ", He said.
I didn't mean for you to think that Apple was the first...I just happen to think it's the best solution for me. I've tried other music players (used Winamp for YEARS) but iTunes is the one I keep coming back to. I've never seen anything else compelling enough to make the switch.
I simply don't understand the deal with this Drag N' Drop fetish some people have. Why would I do that? I plug in my iPod, it syncs, I don't have to mess with it. I re-do my smart playlists, and the updates happen on the iPod automagically.
Why is dragging and dropping good? I just don't get it.
"Me? I had my mod privs revoked long ago for posting in a "forbidden" thread."
Huh?
Yeah, because the EULA is posted there at Best Buy for you to read before you give them your money, right?
Oh, wait, it's not? Amazing.
Okay. So somebody whose motives are totally unclear to me pays for cable and satellite. Some folks must really, really like the TV...
How much you pay for the Yahoo integration? Nothing? It's free? Hmm...your complaint is...what again?
You've got some sack to whine about a free service not supporting your stolen cable/satellite habit.
You do what you want to, buddy, but don't hold your breath for somebody to serve this to you on a silver platter...

Are you unable to distinguish between harsh language and physical violence?

"if it, you know, worked better. iTunes under XP..."
Dude, that one's WAY too easy...

Some day, Tivo will do something dumb enough that I'll kick it to the curb and roll my own. But, for now, the hijinks are below my pain threshold.
How does your Tivo handle dual providers? How does it know which channel to record on?
It's been possible on my.tivo.com for some time as well. I find the integration with Yahoo convenient, because my.tivo.com was designed by congenital morons.
"prevent the re-election of competent representatives."
Uh huh. What does it do about the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy?
"The second is more effective, but most people of the world would consistently reject it."
Oh, how I wish that statement were true. The world is full of people who gladly give away liberty to obtain the illusion of security.
How about YOU go over there and leave the rest of us alone?
Is the Free Software Community somehow bound to use the new GPL? I didn't think so.
Well, gee, with specific details like that, how could they possibly fail!? Thanks for sharing, Microsoft Intern Guy!
How do you get great design out of a committee?
Is your list of songs more than about two inches long?
"over exaggeration"
As opposed to an under exaggeration?
Mmmkay. So it doesn't work with my iPod, won't run on my Powerbook, and it does some SQL stuff.
Gee, sign me up!

But does it work with my iPod?
