If you spring for AppleCare you can't go wrong. Apple warranty and support have no equal when you can go into a physical store and have the problem addressed.
To start, you can't buy images from Getty. You may only buy licenses to use an image.
Second, The purpose of the program is to offer images at no cost to non-commercial users. I evaluated for those purposes. For such a program to be successful the images must be useable. I'm suggesting that even non-commercial users will find it difficult to use.
Seriously! My elementary had a PIN code to pay for lunch over 20 years ago. It was a very helpful system that allowed parents to deposit money into the lunch account. Kids didn't have to worry if they had money or not in the account either. The account would go negative and a letter would be generated to be sent home reminding the parent to deposit money into the account.
The only difference between then and now is that school districts are watched under a microscope about what food is being fed to the kids. So now the lunch lady records what food you eat so the school can use that data to improve the food and prove they are meeting state/federal guidelines. Where is the harm in that?
I'd certainly like any school to stop my kid from draining his lunch account by buying nothing but Twinkies!
I don't think you quite get it. We've paid for the right to use any version of the Enterprise codebase we want. We're just not currently paying the yearly support from Alfresco.
The whole point of looking for a 3rd party to do a one time support deal is so we don't have to pay the yearly support on an item we don't need the yearly support for.
On the flipside if we were paying Alfresco for support, why would we go to a partner to shell out more money when we're paying Alfresco for the support?
My company uses Alfresco for an online collaboration tool between us and our customers. We've been with them for awhile, starting out with the 1.x code base.
We have a license with them to run the Enterprise version, but are not currently paying for support. Our customers are very adverse to change and until we have more than half of them using it it's not worth paying the very high cost of the support contract.
Our install is a little different as we run Liferay on Tomcat 5.5 and use Alfresco as a portlet. We've been working on getting it upgraded to the newest versions of the software, but we don't have any java programmers on staff. We also tried to reach out to Alfresco partners to get some help getting our setup moved to the newest releases, but no one would help us since we're not paying the yearly support.
Honestly it feels like blackmail. Thankfully we found someone who is not working as an Alfresco partner, but had experience with it, even going so far as to use his companies Alfresco support to get help with what is not working. With his help we're getting very close to having it all working.
not all new cards are glued on, only ATI has opted to glue their fans on and leave no mounting holes, most Nvidia cards are glued on but still have the mounting holes on the cards.
Ok mister rich a$$ there are some people on the net who live in places where it would cost a fortune to get anything better than dial-up, those same people are patient enough to wait for these kinda of things. On a side note, these same people get really pissed off when someone wastes their time loading pictures of 'leaked' screeshots that aint real!

Amazon payments launched in 2007. I've had an account with the service for at least 5 years.
Thanks for sticking words in my mouth.

But you will because the "player" is an iframe.
Tried this out last night. It's highly restrictive to the size of the image they select.
Doesn't fit in the place you want to put it? Find another image.
Don't want the whole image? Find another image.
Or at least treat everyone the same so you don't have to fight off the multiple personality disorder.

$5?? It's a bit more than that, try $9.97
But M$ already does!
Ever try sending an mp3 with it's filename the track/artist name in it to a friend over MSN messenger? Never once has it worked for me.
And yes I am not behind a firewall or proxy.
(I have been able to rename the same file to a generic name and gotten it to transfer!)
Since when can AC's mod anything?
