    I ditched Firefox for Chrome when Firefox went off a cliff. Chrome is not heading in a good direction. Maybe it's time to give IE 11 a shot.

    Let's make two lists. "Things you can buy with US dollars" and "Things you can buy with bitcoin". That will tell you which one has more value in the real world.

    I went to the AVN porn convention last week. A friend of mine owns a company that is addressing this market need. It works with both recorded video and live webcam shows.

    Someone gave me the first dev kit version of the Rift. It made me motion sick immediately. They're not going to release a consumer version until that stops happening.

    I came back here after a decade hiatus because reddit got blocked at work. I was shocked that there had been virtually no improvements made in that time.

    Turbines need a ton of air. Filters work against that.

    I looked into building one and tracked down a couple people that had done it. It works a lot better on paper than in the real world. The turbines are not as efficient or as powerful as the manufacturers make them out to be.

    A huge problem is loose debris on the road. Airports spend a ton of effort keeping debris off of their runways. A few pieces of gravel ingested into a turbine can destroy it.

  23. Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation. Kind of makes me wonder what authority the US government has to regulate Chinese banking. Also kind of makes me wonder why a USian would want to invest in a bank in China.

    HSBC has been just "HSBC" for 25 years, and it's headquartered in London. Maybe you should get a basic grasp of the facts before spouting conspiracy theories.

  24. HSBC paid fines equal to 5 weeks of total corporate profits- not just the unit that violated the regulations. If I was docked 5 weeks of income, that would sting really badly.

    I like how you ignore the part of the story where Khaddafi murders tens of thousands of people, because it doesn't fit with your narrative.
