  2. QueCat - the best thing since the mouse. on Inside the CueCat Hardware · · Score: 2

"QueCat will be the biggest thing since the mouse." (actual quote)

    -CueCat CEO guy.

Mouse - Device that let users manipulate their computer using a graphic user interface, thus omitting the need to type confusing text commands, making the computer a publicly viable resource, changing the world as we know it.

CueCat - Cheap, plastic barcode scanner giving away at now charge, which let's users manipulate their web browser by ommiting the need to type confusing commercial web addresses such as "ford.com" or "disney.com" or the very confusing "go.com" by scanning a barcode on a magizine. Making the computer a viable technological embarressment, changing the world as we know it, and also increasing the number of stolen magazines from doctor's offices.

    Conclusion:

Obviously, the CueCat will dominate, being built into the mouse itself. Paraciticly it will slowly take over the mouse and there will be no mouse, instead the user will have to navagate their computer using barcodes from magazines and user manuals.

Say "hello" to CueCat - the future.

This is another fine example of how we should never trust people from the Netherlands. First they bomb Pearl Harbor and now this. You know, there's a secret organization of of prominant leaders and buisnessmen from around the world who are secretly Netherlanders trying to take over the world. It starts with Slashdot. You'll see. This is just the beginning. They're just playing with us right now! You'll be sorry when the Netherlanders attack us again, oh yes, you will...

It doesn't seem like you really know what you're talking about. Consider what makes space travel expensive - fuel, of course. Then consider the fact that the X-33 Venture Star will reduce payload cost by 10:1 (tentatively). What does this tell you about fuel consumtion? The X-33 will use LESS fuel than it's predessors per square pound. So tell me what makes a single-stage craft so horribly wrong. What you are stating makes little real threat. Before you start making "bad idea" statements, know what you're talking about first, okay?

In the disclaimer for the beta software it states (I think, pretty sure) that the software is viable until may 15 or sooner. So I think it's highly likely that it will come out at about that time. The software is pretty much done anyways, it won't be TOO much longer. :)

The whole point of fiasco was simple: 1. Ensure the technological stability and superiority of the United States. How do we do this? Quite simple: 1. Offer high-tech jobs to the best talent of foriegn countries. 2. Make certain that they will be replacable by our own citizens once they have used their skills to commit our objecive. 3. Sit back and gaze at the New Economy, better than any other country, for sure. Ah, the irony. But a cunning US plan none the less, no?

  7. Thanks for your time. on H1B Tech Visa Workers Being Deported From U.S. · · Score: 1

I think it's important for all of these H1B cardholders to realize one important fact. The United States has no sympathy for you and never had any. The only reason this country let you in was for our interests and our interests alone. If you think you got a job in the US because this country felt sorry for you then came here for the wrong reason. Hasn't it become obvious that the only reason the US let these people in was the sole fact that we needed high technology fast, and hiring out is the fastest way to get it. But isn't it also obvious that when the US got what they wanted, they're just plain through with your skills. Now they can be givin to an American citizen. The most obvious thing you should realize is that this was the United States's plan in the first place. If you're feeling used, you should have realized this ahead of time. The United States wanted your skills not your permanent citizinship. Thank you for helping make our country once again more powerful than your's. That's basically what it's all about, my foriegn friend.

Wow. As someone who personaly has ADD, I could not have said it much better myself. I'm personaly happy that myparents hadn't sat me in front of a television/game console/counselor in attempts to make me "normal." Parents should make it their responsibility to nurture their children's strengths, instead of insulting them because of their "weaknesses" with crap like this. I think about it - would I have been happy then if my parents sat me in front of an NES all day? Probebly. But would I be where I am now, because now I now "have the ability to conform into a corperate crap institution?" Definetely not. Moderators - kick this one up a notch to 5, insightful. For what reason has it not been yet? Because it has "bad" language?
