It is just so simple, but parents these days are just so stupid. My dad gave me three options when I graduated from HS. Join the military, go to college, or GTFO. And for the current teens/twenty somethings I do not hate my father. In fact I respect the man.

I love this idea. As long as they remove the taxes from the gas I purchase. I drove less than 3000 miles last year in my F150. A lot of travel for work and I live less than 2 miles from work. Although, not sure how easy it is to crack open the odometer and wind it back. Used to be quite common. Also, could disconnect the speedo. I have seen people disable the speedo on rental cars, back when they used to charge per mile. Again all of this was before 1990. Not sure how easy this is to do now.

Control freaks for turning off the internet at 10PM? Boy, aren't you a spoiled brat. I am sure a lot of people here had a lot worse during their childhood/teenage years. I know my TV had to be off by 9PM. My bedroom light off by 10PM. You think the parents could have gone about this better by setting up the router to restrict access after 10PM. The kids still wouldn't have been able to get on the internet after 10PM.

The fire fighter killer actually was at the store with a friend, who knew he was a felon, and they bought the weapons for him. Even the Columbine kids got their weapons from their parents.

  6. I find that hard to believe. Most kids these days don't read. Some Athletes reading comprehension is very low. Look at Dexter Manley, got a 4 year degee and couldn't even read. How did he get through 12 years of schooling and 4 years of college. I can understand high school teachers passing him for his football gifts, but how did he get through elementary school without being able to read.

I don't think the arguments against securing our borders are because of the legal immigrants. The stink is about the illegals using our resources and not paying tax like the rest of us do. I am sure most legal immigrants pay taxes on their income. I have no qualms about legal immigration, even from mexico, it's the illegal immigrants I have a problem with. And, yes I know they take most of our crappy low paying jobs that most people wouldn't work. They still do not pay taxes on their income and use our resources.

You haven't bought a car in a while, have you. Most cars have the basic audio analog ports and some have the USB inputs. Maybe, more of the foreign (non US) cars do not have the ports. I rent a lot of cars for work and most of the Toyotas/Nissans have them. Even a Jetta I rented had a USB power and analog audio input. Now if I rent a car and it doesn't have analog audio I think that car is strange. I even search high and low for one. Usually they are on the stereo, on the dash just below the stereo, or in the center console. I've actually seen one that the port was in the glovebox.
