Cars with 7 speed manuals would be best for the masses because the constant shifting would make it difficult to hold the newspaper in place on the steering wheel

It would also be great, because a lot of people would not be able to drive a manual. Thus the roads would be a lot less crowded. No more teens twittering their friends as they slam their car into a tree. Talking on a cell phone would be a chore in stop and go traffic unless using a hands-free device.

Paying attention to the manufacturer's hardware, such as the Fn key software (for brightness and volume control). If they don't provide your basic drivers for Windows 7 (ie Video, motherboard chipset, wifi, BT, display), look for another laptop and possibly another manufacturer. Surprisingly, my work HP laptop they bought over three years ago (whenever Vista first came out), supports not only XP, Vista, and 7, but also Windows 8. My IT dept had downgraded the Vista that came with it to XP. I upgraded it to 7 not too long ago and it runs great.

Sure, Ron Paul wants you to be able to buy drugs on the street or in walmart - as long as you pay taxes on them. Don't let the slashdot paullowers tell you differently, their interest is in getting you to pay more taxes so they can pay less.

And what's wrong with that? We quit spending money on this pointless "War on Drugs", and start making money off the Rastafarians. And we might finally have space in our jail system for "Real" criminals. The only people that should be against this is the Cartels and the ATF.

When an accident happened ahead of you in traffic, they could just turn off the power grid and all cars would come safely to a stop. And if they had the bumpers accidents would be less severe. Downtown Seattle already use the power grid for their buses. Has anyone there tried to modify their Chevy Volt to run on this? I think they would get quite the stares from passerby.
