Pell grants are counted. So is the earned income tax credit, as well as several other tax breaks and programs.
The trick here is that they don't count most of the people receiving those tax breaks and most of those programs as welfare recipients, so they can inflate the number per "welfare recipient" when those recipients are getting FAR FAR less than the ~60k they claim.
It is not an unwise decision to prevent destruction of America. And doing so means saving the middle class. And doing that means keeping the poor alive and healthy long enough for them to be uplifted out of poverty. And doing that means the ultra wealthy need to pay their god damn taxes like everyone else.
The reality is that it is a lie. They count things that are not welfare as welfare, and then they do not count the people who receive some of those benefits as welfare recipients. This allows them to inflate the numbers. They do not count everyone who receives an earned income tax credit or a pell grant in their count of welfare recipients, but they count those as welfare.
This is only possible when you consider non-welfare to be welfare spending. And then only use the number of actual welfare recipients to calculate the pay out.
For instance, that includes the earned income credit tax break as "welfare" but does not include the people receiving that tax break as "welfare recipients".
I wasn't aware it was even there to begin with. Maybe there wasn't much outcry because no one knew about it, because it was on by default. without alerting the user.
If there is one thing that can get bipartisan support, it is shitting on your rights to the public domain in favor of corporate rent seeking on the cultural property of the people.
The wealth transfer religion is that of the demagogs insisting that the unregulated market cures all ills. And it is a transfer of wealth from the productive working members of society to the non-working class of the plutocrats, those wealthy enough to grow their wealth by leaching off the labor of others without contributing any real labor in return. It is a religion that is destroying America as a power and will ultimately lead to the annihilation of our liberties and way of life, a return to absolute despotism at the hands of a noble class that feels entitled to everything their serfs can produce.
I would probably even allow the RPG in some cases (most likely requiring a rigorous safety test before purchase). But an ICBM? Nope, there isn't a way you can use an ICBM without harming innocent civilians.
I myself am a libertarian in every aspect except tax/social service policy, which is unfortunately where most libertarians tend to focus their efforts.
I am going to take this joke seriously for a moment.
RPG's and ICBM's are much more indiscriminate than firearms. Their use in self defense is dangerous to innocent bystanders. A bullet fired from a gun goes (mostly) in a straight line, a line that can be made to intersect only the intended target more often than not. I would note that the indiscriminate use of a firearm is still a crime. Firing wildly into the air without regard to where the bullets fall recklessly endangers everyone within several hundred(or thousands for many guns) meters. And firing a highly penetrating rifle bullet through a robber inside an apartment complex would also be recklessly endangering to the people through many layers of wallboard and sheet rock.
This is also why fully automatic firearms should be (and are) more heavily regulated than semi-automatics. I would also note that muzzle loading single shot mini-ball muskets are available in many states without any of the restrictions reserved for more modern multi-shot firearms as well.
Most shooting deaths are suicides or "accidents" (most of those accidents are also suicides)
When New York City had a gun ban in the 1800's, its per capita murder rate was much higher than it is today.
Murder rates in the US are highest in areas where gun control restrictions are present, often going up after those restrictions are put in place, and going down after they are lifted.
America has a murder problem, but it is unrelated, or inversely related to the relative legality of firearm ownership.
Bullshit. The us has a political divide. There are the right wing conservatives, and the ultra right wing regressives. Its just that the conservatives like to call themselves liberal and the regressives like to call themselves not insane.

And I say that as something of a libertarian myself, but these Randroids are ridiculous.
He is a Ayn Rand worshiping ultra-puritanical libertarian masturbating with the invisible hand of the free market.
Of course he believes that all government regulation is bad. Because he is insane.

It actually wouldn't. Family insurance is typically twice that of a single person due to economies of scale and network effects.

Now I know the source of your lie. That does not mean it isn't a lie.
Do you honestly believe that every poor family in the US receives over 40 thousand dollars a year in welfare?
It is ridiculous, and unbelievable, because there is no way it can be true.
And you are an idiot for spreading it.
If you are planning on playing a lot of video games? Windows is the best platform... for now.
If valve can make steam for linux stable and convert most of its library? Then it will be time to reevaluate that statement.

It should not be installed/active by default without prior alert to the user.
At worst, it should be a choice made during setup, one that is well described and obvious even if the checkbox defaults to being checked.
Searching for local files is not one of the tidbits that needs to be sent out for it to work.

You won't be able to eat the rich. The hookers std's and blow is likely to make their flesh at least somewhat toxic.
He is whiter than I am after a couple days at the beach.

We are now a competitive labor market for third world slave wages! That is one way to bring jobs back to America.
Yea. And I have a Asus Transformer Infinity and it is the equal or better of the ipad in almost every way.
Considered? Certainly.
I would probably even allow the RPG in some cases (most likely requiring a rigorous safety test before purchase). But an ICBM? Nope, there isn't a way you can use an ICBM without harming innocent civilians.
There are a lot of libertarians around here.

I hate direct source lights as well, they irritate my eyes terribly. All of my lights reflect off a matte white or eggshell surface.
Guns are extremely safe if you are not standing at the business end.
