    How much money do you put behind that guarantee? And really, how sure are you that it is going to stand up to billion dollar funded attackers? That such an attack won't find even a single buffer overflow attack, or some similar.

    Go to the specifications page. The 4TFlop number is for single precision, the lower number is for double precision, and that's what top500 requires.

    I can't find an ideal source at the moment, but most studies report higher rates of women abusing children, regardless of category of abuse (meaning sexual abuse too).

    You disagree, but the government doesn't. If they did, they'd regulate the health care field to provide parity for those services, and then there'd be plenty of money to be made in those fields.

    No, because it takes thousands of those to match what the top computers can do.

    Look at the specifications for the high end one:

    The bottom of the top500 list is now 12.64 Tflop/s. So to make it to the bottom of the top500, you need 36 top of the line teslas (and that assumes you lose nothing to network issues, which isn't true). So call it at least 40 teslas to get to the bottom of the list.

    To get to the top of the list, you'd need about 3500 teslas.

    The point of sending robots would be to learn about how to help robots survive in space. By the time we're ready to send ourselves into space in any serious way, we'll all have robot bodies anyway.

    There is no way he will keep to that offer. With the economy in the toilet, tax revenues will be way down, and he's already fighting a huge deficit and debt. It's one campaign promise that will be all too easy to break. And in any case, it's just one of those things you say you'll do to get a minor voting block behind you, not something you take seriously.

    Sanderson might do a decent job, but when the family decides they want more money, they'll hire out the writing of books 14+ to the lowest common denominator, and trash the series.

    It is a prequel, and says it is part of the wheel of time series right on the cover. Thus, the series comprises 12 books, soon 13, and I'm sure in the not to distant future, dozens of disastrously bad sequels and prequels by Herbert and Anderson.

    Well, his heirs poisoned him precisely so that they could exploit his legacy. As soon as the final book was outlined, there really wasn't any need to keep him alive, he was just a burden on the family's potential income.

    Costco is not different, you can still leave without consenting to the search, but they can terminate your contract with cause for contract violation, leaving you out $50 and never able to shop at Costco again.

    You won't succeed, as it's not legally required in any US state. Police officers can demand your name, and in some cases your address and destination. But they can't demand that in the form of state issued id. They may in some states detain you for up to 2 hours to confirm that what you've told them, and you might be able to go about your business faster if you hand over id, but you are NOT required to do so.

    They can definitely demand a driver's license if they are stopping you while you are driving.

    I would be surprised if you can find a state in the united states which requires you to carry ID over 18.

    I'm afraid it's you who isn't up on current science. Plenty of people have been saved from heart death, and a few from brain death.

    There is good evidence for the 10-dimensional multi-verse. It's not proven one way or the other for sure, but at this point the evidence favors the 10-dimensional universe.
