    You do not need a custom app for tivo to go. Look in the tivo community forums for more info.

    Basically they have a webserver running on the tivo box that allows you to down load shows. Once downloaded you can use freely available tools along with your media key (available in your account information) to put your show in the format you want.

    Waiting for my software update to try it out.

    Jonathan Schwartz was (owned/president ?) of Lighthouse Design an isv that provided an office suite for NextStep. They were very sweet apps.

    And they want to build a high rise for their new headquaters.

    Thanks for the reality check - I was getting excited about the possibilites - But once again the dollar will win out.

    One of the largest media companies in the US will not stand up for freedom of speech! What good is a media company that does not protect that freedom. Instead they bend over and hand over cash to secure their empire.

    It sure seems like there is a lot of similarities between the fcc indecency crusade (at least someone interpretation) and DRM crusade.

    People we need to vote in november and with our dollars.

    I had the same problem had to do with the s3 video adapter that ships with the SHuttle. I found the driver through google works now.

    Exactly my feeling.

    I saw a pre-release last week (w/the kids). It was a good story but the animation quality was just ok.

    I would not point to this movie as to what can be done with linux.
